The weather has been so nice lately, and lots of you are heading out to Seongsu and Seoulsup, right? While wandering around Seongsu I went looking for somewhere filling to eat and ended up at Bas Burger Seongsu. Handmade burgers hit me every now and then, and if you want a good burger place with a nice vibe in Seongsu, Bas Burger is just right.
Where is Bas Burger Seongsu?
Bas Burger Seongsu is near Ttukseom Station and fairly close to Seoulsup too. It was a handy spot to stop by after a walk in Seoulsup or a date in Seongsu.
The exterior had a hip, very Seongsu feel. The sign stands out, and there is an outdoor terrace area at the front. On a nice day, burgers and beer on the terrace would be really good. It fits Seongsu's atmosphere well, and it's a great burger place.

Inside Bas Burger Seongsu and how to order
The interior is done in dark wood tones, so it feels warm and hip at the same time. There are a decent number of tables, and it's a good mood for a casual meal on a date or with friends.

The kitchen is open, so you can see the cooking, which made me trust it more, and there's a self bar on one side of the restaurant.

Ordering is easy with the tablet on the table. I liked being able to take my time choosing while looking at menu photos, and I also liked that you can pick raw or grilled onions.

Are the potato chips at Bas Burger unlimited?
The big draw at Bas Burger Seongsu is the free potato chips. You can take as many as you like from the self bar, and they're crunchy and salty, perfect to snack on before the food arrives.

There's also a good range of sauces, like ketchup and mayonnaise, so it's fun to dip however you like.

Bas Burger Seongsu menu
Bas Burger Seongsu has plenty of handmade burger options, from the basic Bas Burger to a cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, Hawaiian burger and Sriracha cheeseburger, and you can upgrade the patty to double or triple. Sides include fries, cheese sticks, chicken and the Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar, all good with a burger.
They sell beer too, so a burger and craft beer would be a nice combo in the evening. This day I ordered the Bas Burger Combo, a Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar and a craft beer.
How was the ₩10,000 Bas Burger Combo?
The Bas Burger Combo is ₩10,000, and the Bas Burger is the basic item with a beef patty, real cheddar cheese, house sauce, butterhead lettuce, onion and tomato. Even though it's the basic burger, the ingredients are generous, and it came fresh and warm, which I liked.

The patty was juicy and richly savory. Add the saltiness of the cheddar and the umami of the house sauce, and it tasted like exactly the handmade burger you'd hope for.

The butterhead lettuce gave a soft, fresh texture, and the tomato and onion cut the richness, so it was easy to finish. Ordering the combo meant fries came along too, which made it filling. The fries were crisp outside and fluffy inside, and went well with the burger.

Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar for ₩3,700: how spicy is it?
The Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar is a ₩3,700 side coated in spicy chili sauce, so it looked intense right away. One bite showed it was crispy outside and packed with mozzarella inside.

The spicy chili sauce and rich cheese worked better together than I expected. It felt a little spicy at first, then the cheese's richness came up and smoothed the flavor out.

It's a good side when a burger alone feels a bit lacking, and it works perfectly as a beer snack too.
Does the ₩5,800 Bas Lager go well with a burger?
Bas Lager, the craft beer at Bas Burger Seongsu, is ₩5,800. A handmade burger without beer would be a shame, right? Bas Lager cleanly cut the richness of the burger and sides, so it paired really well. One cold sip made the salty, savory burger flavor pop even more.

The pairing was even better with a spicy side like the Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar. When you want a meal in Seongsu with a casual glass of beer, this was a satisfying choice.
Final verdict on Bas Burger Seongsu
Bas Burger Seongsu is a good place to visit when you're craving a handmade burger near Seongsu or Seoulsup. From the exterior to the interior it has that hip Seongsu feel, and with a terrace too, it should be even better on a nice day.
The Bas Burger Combo stuck to the basics with a great patty and sauce combination, and the Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar was a satisfying spicy, savory side. Add craft beer, and it was a meal that suits a Seongsu date course well.
