Solo dining at the bar seats of Dongnae pasta place Sasaenghwal

It's been a while since I had pasta and pizza somewhere with such a nice vibe. This time I visited Sasaenghwal's Dongnae branch, and true to its name (which means "private life"), it had a calm, comfortable atmosphere — good for a meal with a friend, but also fine for a date or a group gathering.
I was pretty satisfied with everything I ate this time, and the seafood-loaded pasta especially stuck with me. Let me introduce the menu items I actually tried, one by one ♡⸜(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⸝♡

It's on the 2nd floor of the building, so just follow the sign at the entrance and head up. The entrance is already done up in wood tones, which made me curious about what the inside would look like.
Once you open the door, the interior turned out bigger than expected. With wood tones and darker colors throughout, it felt warm but also a little calm and subdued.

Can you eat alone at Sasaenghwal? Bar seats and table seats
Sasaenghwal's Dongnae branch has bar-style seating in addition to regular tables, so it looked totally fine for eating solo. When I visited, there were tables with groups eating together, but I also saw quite a few seats where people were dining alone.
So it seemed like a good spot for all kinds of situations — solo meals, hangouts with friends, or company dinners.
What we ordered at Sasaenghwal

This time we ordered ✔ Seafood Town Pasta ✔ Gorgonzola Pizza ✔ Mini Salad ✔ Harmonious Life Tea Ade 1. As the dishes started coming out one by one, the portions turned out more generous than expected — a pretty filling spread for two. (We did order a lot...)
Seafood Town Pasta — loaded with clams and shrimp
First, the dish I was most looking forward to — Seafood Town Pasta! From the name alone I expected plenty of seafood, and sure enough, it came packed with clams. There was also plenty of shrimp, so it was fun eating the noodles together with all the seafood.

With so many clams in there, every bite of noodles seemed to come with seafood attached. The shrimp were plump too, with a nice texture, and eating the noodles together with the broth brought out that distinct seafood flavor. Honestly, once I tasted it, I understood exactly why it's called Seafood Town Pasta.

The noodles had really soaked up the sauce well, so it tasted better eaten together with the clams and shrimp rather than just the noodles alone. Personally, out of everything I ate that day, this pasta was the one that stayed with me the most.
Gorgonzola Pizza — eaten without honey
Next was the Gorgonzola Pizza we ordered alongside it. It had been a really long time since I'd had gorgonzola pizza.

The cheese came out golden and nicely browned — just looking at it, cheese lovers would be into it. Gorgonzola pizza is usually eaten dipped in honey, but this time I tried it without any. Even so, the cheese's own flavor came through clearly, so it was plenty delicious without honey.

The cheese stretched out in long strings with a nutty, savory flavor, and the crust wasn't too thick, which made it easy to eat alongside the pasta. Maybe because it had been so long since I'd had it, it tasted even better than I remembered.
Mini Salad
The Mini Salad was a good thing to order alongside everything else. Just pasta and pizza can get a bit heavy, so we added the mini salad too.

The salad had crunchy bits like nuts mixed in with the vegetables, not just soft greens, so it had good texture. There were tomatoes scattered throughout too, which made it refreshing to eat, and switching between the pasta or pizza and the salad worked well as a combo.
Harmonious Life Tea Ade 1
For a drink, we ordered the Harmonious Life Tea Ade, a blend of apricot, grapefruit, and lemon. It was tangy with a distinct fruity taste, making it a good match for the food.

Looking for pasta or pizza in Dongnae, Busan?
Overall, everything we ordered that day was solidly good, so I finished the meal without feeling like I'd picked wrong on anything. The Seafood Town Pasta loaded with seafood and the Gorgonzola Pizza that tasted great even without honey were the two dishes that stuck with me the most.
If you're looking for a place to eat pasta or pizza in Dongnae, Sasaenghwal's Dongnae branch is worth a visit. With seating that works both for eating alone and for larger groups, it seemed like a good fit not just for dates but also for friend gatherings or company dinners. Next time I visit, I'd like to try some of the other pasta dishes.
