Anmin, a brand-new pork place in Beomeo, Yangsan! They grill everything for you from start to finish, then put the cooked meat on a small brazier so it stays warm to the very last bite. A new Beomeo, Yangsan favorite 😋

Luxurious interior and seating at Anmin Yangsan

Anmin Yangsan atmosphere and seating: good for dinner with parents?

Anmin Yangsan has a luxurious interior with cozy partitioned seats and large seats for groups, so it was a good place to bring my parents. The customers span all ages, so it suits anyone, young or old.

The fancy interior made me feel like I was being treated to something, haha. I took my parents and they were really happy with the atmosphere.

A wait even on a weekday evening: book via Catch Table

Even on a weekday evening, a wait formed right at opening. Word has clearly gotten around 😋 You can reserve through Catch Table (a Korean reservation app), so waiting is comfortable.

Thoughtful touches in the restroom and at the table

What struck me as especially thoughtful was the restroom! Toothbrushes, mouthwash and floss, plus feminine products, all neatly prepared. They clearly take service seriously.

At the table, cups, small plates, tissues and wet wipes are all tidily arranged inside. Clean and neat, which I liked.

Charcoal spot and brazier at an Anmin Yangsan table

Every seat has a spot for the charcoal and the brazier ready to go. After the staff grill the meat nicely, they put it on the brazier, so you can eat it warm down to the last bite.

What banchan (side dishes) come at Anmin Yangsan?

The banchan at Anmin Yangsan are young radish, onion and chili pickles, pickled radish, white kimchi, green onion kimchi and cabbage salad, set out generously to go with the meat.

The pickles are young radish, onion and chili. Pickled radish, white kimchi and green onion kimchi suit my taste perfectly 🤤 And the cabbage salad adds a tangy touch. A whole lot of banchan that go well with the meat~

There are so, so many sauces too. Salt, curry, zhi ran (cumin spice), salted seafood, shiitake wasabi, cheese fondue and more, from familiar sauces to Anmin's unusual signature ones, so eating is fun haha

Thick pork belly and neck grilled by staff: how does it taste?

At Anmin Yangsan I ordered two portions each of raw thick pork belly (130g per portion, ₩12,000) and raw thick pork neck (130g per portion, ₩12,000). The grilling service is free, so staff grilled the meat golden over charcoal, and I could focus on just eating.

You can see with your own eyes how fresh it is. There's a vegetable garnish too, so it's nice for eating healthy!

The pork is grilled to a perfect golden brown! They sear the sides carefully to lock the juices inside. Since it's charcoal-grilled, the smoky aroma soaks right in.

The cuts are on the small side, a perfect one-bite size. Maybe that's why it cooks quickly too. The juices locked inside the neck were so moist haha. It's a cut with a strong meaty aroma, so you really taste the pork.

Anmin Yangsan sauces: pine pollen salt, shiitake wasabi, cheese fondue, salted hairtail

At Anmin Yangsan I had my first bite of neck with pine-blossom salt, the belly with shiitake wasabi and cheese fondue, and the salted hairtail sauce had almost no fishy taste, so few people would dislike it.

First bite with pine pollen salt

For the first bite, salt of course! I dipped it in pine-blossom salt, made from pine trees. It isn't too salty and lifts the flavor of the meat 😊

Grilled pork belly topped with shiitake wasabi

Shiitake wasabi with pork belly

I ate the belly topped with shiitake wasabi. The shiitake aroma and the wasabi's sharp kick come together for another appetite-boosting flavor. Combining several sauces with well-grilled, quality pork felt almost like a buffet, so colorful haha

Fully grilled pork on the brazier

Finished meat is set on a separate brazier. A setup that lets you eat it warm and tasty to the end! You can see the golden color of perfectly grilled meat.

Pork dipped in cheese fondue sauce

Next I dipped it in the cheese fondue sauce. Dunk it well and eat it with the breadcrumbs served alongside, and even though it's pork it tastes a bit like steak. A special combination!

Grilled pork wrapped in ssam vegetables

Three refills of lettuce wraps

Wrapped in ssam (lettuce wraps), of course it's delicious 🤤 The veggies were so fresh I refilled them three times. A Yangsan place that grills for you, yet it felt like a buffet haha

Dining table at Anmin Yangsan

Tasty, but also impressive for its kindness, this Beomeo, Yangsan BBQ place. Even when busy, the staff greeted us with smiles and checked right to the end for anything that bothered us, so we had a very satisfying meal 👍

Pork with salted hairtail sauce

Galchi sokjeot (salted hairtail) with no fishy taste

The salted hairtail intestines (galchi-sokjeot) had almost no fishy taste, so even people who don't eat salted seafood probably wouldn't mind. A sauce seasoned just salty enough to feel good!

Anmin Yangsan: final verdict

  • Juicy raw pork belly and moist raw pork neck
  • A wide range of sauces, from salt to shiitake wasabi and cheese fondue
  • Luxurious, clean interior and comfortable seats
  • Thoughtful service: staff grill the meat and place it on the brazier
  • A generous meal with many banchan and ssam vegetable refills
