Ansan BBQ with kimchi-mari noodles and Assorted Set A: Gogit-ri 88
In short
Gogit-ri 88beonji Ansan Gojan Branch is a charcoal pre-grilled pork BBQ restaurant in the Gojan-dong dining alley in Ansan, Gyeonggi. Unlike the earlier visit to the outdoor terrace, this summer visit stayed in the indoor dining room over the Gogit-ri Assorted Set A and kimchi-mari guksu (cold noodles in chilled kimchi broth), with thick pre-grilled pork neck and a wide lineup of dipping sauces. Gogit-ri 88beonji Ansan Gojan Branch is worth a stop if you want to taste several cuts of pork in one sitting.

A pork BBQ restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan: Gogit-ri 88beonji Ansan Gojan Branch
I went looking for somewhere to eat meat in Gojan-dong, Ansan, and landed on Gogit-ri 88beonji Ansan Gojan Branch. I'd been here before — I remember the outdoor terrace being amazing on a cool evening before the summer heat set in, so I decided to come back. This time, with the heat in full swing, I skipped the terrace and sat inside instead. Eating in the air-conditioned indoor space has its own charm, different from the terrace experience.
It's located in the Gojan-dong dining alley, making it a great spot for dinner or drinks. It's also near Gojan NC Department Store, so it's convenient if you get hungry after shopping.

Outdoor terrace or indoor seats in summer?
Gogit-ri 88beonji Ansan Gojan Branch has outdoor terrace seating out front, and inside there's a long table that's great for groups.

In the cool spring and fall, the terrace tables are set up outside, but right now they're folded away for the summer.

There's also a long table indoors, good for group seating.
Charcoal pre-grilling you can watch at the table

The pork neck is grilled near the front of the kitchen, right over a visible charcoal brazier, so you can watch it being cooked.
The smell of charcoal-grilled meat starts drifting through the air — and the mouth-watering begins...

Side dishes and dipping sauces served with the pork

The basic side dishes include shredded scallions, pickled radish, pickled onion, seasoned perilla leaves, and kimchi. The sauces include myeoljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), Malden salt, myeongnanjeot (seasoned pollack roe), ssamjang (dipping paste), and wasabi.

With this unbeatable lineup of side dishes, any cut of meat tastes amazing!!!

What we ordered: Gogit-ri Assorted Set A and kimchi-mari guksu
- Gogit-ri Assorted Set A
- kimchimarinoodles (kimchi-mixed cold noodles)
The pork neck in the middle is the piece that was pre-grilled over charcoal earlier. The rest of the cuts you grill yourself on the pan.

Thickness, doneness, flavor — the meat is perfect on every front...

The first thing I liked about the pre-grilled meat was the thickness. Personally, I prefer meat cut on the thicker side to keep the juices in rather than super thin slices, and this hit exactly that spot. The texture isn't dry at all — it's tender. Thick enough for a satisfying bite, and you can taste the juiciness the more you chew.

The kimchi comes in a little tin lunchbox-style container, drizzled with sesame oil so you can grill it on the pan — eaten with the meat, it's absolutely delicious.

Gabrisal (pork shoulder blade meat) has a chewy texture and nutty flavor different from pork belly or pork neck, so it's fun to alternate between the different cuts.
Eating it dipped in myeongnanjeot felt unfamiliar and a little unusual, but it's salty and delicious.

Kimchi-mari guksu instead of naengmyeon
I usually go for naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), but today I was craving kimchimarinoodles instead, so I ordered that — and it turned out to be a great choice.

Since it's regular noodles rather than naengmyeon noodles, the texture is soft, easy to digest, and pairs really well with the meat.

The other cuts of meat are delicious too.

There's a good amount of odolppyeo (soft cartilage) mixed in — and the cuts with cartilage are always the tasty ones!!

What I really love is the variety of sauces and sides you can pair with the meat. From salt to makjang (thick fermented soybean paste), wasabi, and different jeotgal (salted seafood), you can mix and match to your taste, so even the same cut of meat can be enjoyed a little differently each time.

Who is Gogit-ri 88beonji Ansan Gojan Branch good for?
With plenty of indoor space plus outdoor tables, Gogit-ri 88 seems to work well for dates, get-togethers with friends, or work dinners. It's especially a place I'd want to revisit on a cool evening for meat and drinks out on the terrace once the weather turns pleasant.
Highly recommended if you want to try several different pork cuts in one visit or if you love that distinctive charcoal-grilled flavor!!
