Onggyejip Sutbul Dakgalbi Namyeong branch is a charcoal-grilled dakgalbi (Korean chicken BBQ) restaurant right in front of Exit 6 of Sookmyung Women's University Station (Line 4) in Yongsan, Seoul. The blogger grilled 1 serving each of herb garlic salt dakgalbi and herbal-aged marinated dakgalbi over charcoal, adding acacia honey dongdongju (rice wine), perilla oil makguksu (buckwheat noodles) and gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) fried rice, plus a free barley shrimp doenjang stew and a self-serve misutgaru (roasted grain) slush. For smoky charcoal chicken paired with sweet, refreshing honey dongdongju, Onggyejip Sutbul Dakgalbi Namyeong branch is a good fit.

Guwol-dong pasta restaurant, perilla ragu late lunch for two: Withwich

Withwich is a 2026 Blue Ribbon-listed brunch, pasta and wood-fired pizza restaurant in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, across from Guwol Waterfall. For a late lunch, the writer and her boyfriend ordered the Italian pasta and wood-fired pizza set for two with perilla leaf ragu pasta, gorgonzola pizza, a green grape ade and a two-berry ade, paying 44,200 won in total. With a gorgonzola that isn't too funky and a perilla ragu that even spice-shy eaters can handle, Withwich is a Guwol-dong Western restaurant worth going back to.

Incheon Asiad pasta lunch set: Toowoomba, huge salad, Eopu Kitchen

Eopu Kitchen is a casual fusion pasta restaurant near the Asiad area and Seogucheong (Seohae-gucheong) Station on Incheon Line 2 in Seo-gu, Incheon, run by a chef with 18 years of experience. Arriving around 11:40 on a weekday as the first customer, the writer had the 35,000 won pasta lunch set with Toowoomba pasta, truffle mushroom cream risotto and a garlic-dressed house salad, and Eopu Kitchen was full soon after 12:00. Thanks to the generous salad and rich truffle risotto, Eopu Kitchen's lunch set is a definite yes for a return visit.

Yeokgok café seat guide and citrus grapefruit ade: Wonder Coffee Bar

Wonder Coffee Bar Yeokgok (분더커피바 역곡본점) is a café near Exit 2 of Yeokgok Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, serving espresso, filter coffee, non-coffee drinks, fruit sando and financiers. The writer visited at 2:30 pm on a weekday with her boyfriend, went through Halls A, B and C to find a seat, and had a Wunder Gato (₩6,800), citrus grapefruit ade (₩6,000), fruit sando (₩9,000) and salted caramel financier (₩3,500). Wonder Coffee Bar Yeokgok fills up even on weekday afternoons, so the trick is to secure a seat first and order after.

Hongdae date restaurant: cheese katsu and sushi-like soba maki at Omil

Omil Hongdae is a fusion Western restaurant famous for its rubber duck omurice, on the 2nd floor near Exit 4 of Hongik Univ. Station in Mapo, Seoul, and it usually has a wait. The writer walked in with no wait 10 minutes after opening and ordered the set for two: rubber duck omurice, sizzling teppan cheese katsu with cheese poured by staff at the table, and Omil soba maki (buckwheat noodle roll), which tasted like sushi without any seafood and was the biggest surprise. Omil Hongdae is a Hongdae date restaurant that delights both the eyes and the taste buds.

Seohae home goods store for 2-for-₩900 number candles: On Saenghwal

On Saenghwal (온생활) is a two-floor discount home goods store in front of Exit 4 of Seohae-gucheong Station (formerly Seo-gucheong) in Seohae, Incheon. Browsing the aquarium, toy, kitchen and tool corners on the 2nd floor and the stationery and cosmetics corners on the 1st floor, the writer bought anniversary number candles (2 for ₩900), a spine-bar file folder, a fridge deodorizer, a stir-fry spoon, cat-paw chair leg covers and a Pokémon card as a gift for a nephew. On Saenghwal is a neighborhood store where you can pick up just what you need at a good price.

Songdo bakery anniversary cake pickup: Strawberry Dome Mini, Tomoru

Tomoru Bakery (송도토모루베이커리) is a bakery on the ground floor of Acria Building 2, near Central Park in Songdo, Yeonsu, Incheon. The writer picked up a Strawberry Dome Mini cake (26,000 won) for an anniversary with her boyfriend, along with a chocolate baguette (6,000 won) and a pollock roe salt bread (3,500 won). The Strawberry Dome Mini has plenty of cream without feeling heavy, making Tomoru Bakery a solid pick for birthday and anniversary cakes.
