What is Songnim Bok Jangeo's Baegot branch?

Songnim Bok Jangeo Baegot Direct Branch is an all-you-can-eat freshwater eel restaurant in Baegot New Town, Siheung. It is open daily from 11:30 to 23:00, and it takes reservations and groups, has high chairs, offers takeout and has parking.

I went to Baegot New Town for a day out and stopped at this eel place, Songnim Bok Jangeo, haha. There are really a lot of good restaurants in Baegot... but I think for all-you-can-eat eel, this is the one!!!! You get not just eel but also pork belly and duck neck as unlimited refills, which makes it an amazing value.

Apparently it's a partner of the freshwater eel farming fisheries cooperative, haha.

Is Songnim Bok Jangeo spacious and good for groups?

The inside is really big and clean. There are lots of seats, so it looks perfect for group gatherings or company dinners.

I liked that you can put your coat or belongings under the chair.

I think it would be great for a family get-together in Baegot too. I especially love that besides eel you can also have unlimited pork belly and duck neck, haha.

Aprons are provided too.

If you write a receipt review, you get a free bottle of black raspberry wine, so I recommend writing one and drinking the wine with your eel.

How much is the all-you-can-eat eel at Songnim Bok Jangeo?

The buffet is ₩29,990 per adult and ₩14,000 for children up to elementary school age, haha. The table setting fee is ₩3,000.

For meals, they also have eel soup, yukgaejang (spicy beef soup), buckwheat makguksu (cold noodles) and spicy ramyeon.

What is at the self-serve bar?

This branch has a separate self-serve bar. It has wrap vegetables like lettuce, plus peppers, garlic and ssamjang (wrap sauce), and also seasoned perilla leaves, kimchi, scallion salad and white kimchi.

There are also ginger and pickled onions.

What I really liked is that you can take as much as you want from the self-serve bar. You can eat comfortably without worrying about what others think. Eel is there, pork belly is there as an unlimited refill, and duck neck is at the self-serve bar too. It was nice to use so easily.

All the side dishes that come to the table are also on the self-serve bar, so you can refill them easily. Scallion kimchi came out.

There are seasoned perilla leaves too.

This is the ginger, and you know ginger is a must when eating eel, right? Haha. Dip it in the sauce and eat it together with the eel.

White kimchi and pickled onions came out as well.

What comes out when you first order?

When you first order, they bring eel, pork belly and neck meat on a plate. After that you fetch the rest from the self-serve bar.

The pork belly looked good quality too.

Duck neck came out too, and my friend said it's a delicious cut and loved it.

How good is the buffet eel, and how do you grill it?

The eel here comes in big pieces. They put the eel on the grill first, haha. You could tell right away it was good eel.

For eel, you grill the skin side first and then flip it. Look how well it's grilled. Just flip it like this and grill it nicely.

The eel was super plump and meaty. I was totally surprised to get eel of this quality at an all-you-can-eat place.

Grilled over charcoal, it was crispier and the fat had all dripped off, so it tasted great.

Eel tastes best topped with ginger. Eel is a little oily, so I recommend balancing it with ginger.

Wrapping it in lettuce with garlic like this is delicious too.

Are the pork belly and seasoned chicken neck good too?

After we finished the eel, they grilled the pork belly for us too.

The pork belly was grilled on the grill and was tasty and tender.

I was surprised that a place known for eel has such good pork belly too.

They grilled the duck neck too. It was lightly seasoned, which made it even better, haha.

Is Songnim Bok Jangeo good for a work dinner or group meal?

Songnim Bok Jangeo Baegot Direct Branch is an eel buffet, and I really liked that you can have pork belly and duck neck as well. It works for company dinners because it's all-you-can-eat, and even if someone can't eat eel, there's pork belly and other items, so it's easy to visit together.

It had been a while since I'd visited Baegot New Town, and I had a good meal and a fun day out. I was especially happy with the food, so I left in a great mood. I came by car so I couldn't drink, but next time I want to write a receipt review and have the black raspberry wine with eel.
