What kind of sushi restaurant is Sushi Doku The Songdo?

Sushi Doku The Songdo (스시도쿠 더송도) is a sushi restaurant in the Onesta building, which is connected to Songdo Hyundai Outlet (nicknamed Songhyeona). It's a Songdo sushi place near the outlet that I absolutely love, so I went again haha. The outlet entrance is right next door, so it's easy to get around. And above all, the sushi is sooo good TT

This is my third visit to this Songdo sushi spot. Every piece is high quality, big and delicious, and the sides that come with it are excellent too. It's honestly the kind of sushi place I think anyone would love, whoever you bring along.

Where is Sushi Doku The Songdo, and is there a weekend wait?

Sushi Doku The Songdo is on the 2nd floor of Onesta in Songdo, right in front of Outback. There's a wait on weekends, so if you're going then, I recommend booking ahead.

What are the atmosphere and cloth-draped seats like at Sushi Doku The Songdo?

The inside is set up with slightly dim lighting, and I liked how it lets you eat in a relaxed way.

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seats, and the tables are spaced widely apart, so you can eat comfortably without feeling disturbed.

There's also a room-like space toward the back.

I also liked that cloth is draped here and there, giving the whole place a private feel.

How to order at Sushi Doku The Songdo and the receipt review perk

You just order easily by tablet at your seat.

If you leave a Naver receipt review, you get one Premium Sushi piece per person. It's worth ₩6,900, so I really recommend leaving a receipt review.

What comes in the Premium Sushi Special Set (25,900 won)?

After looking at the menu, I ordered two Premium Sushi Special Sets.

Premium Sushi Special Set (₩25,900)

The Premium Sushi Special Set comes with sushi, yuba udon (udon with fried tofu pouch), karaage (Japanese fried chicken), shrimp tempura, chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), salad and more.

I ordered two, and it's really a generous spread, right? haha

Chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg custard) and salad

This is chawanmushi, a Japanese steamed egg dish. It's super soft, with things like shrimp and ginkgo nuts inside haha

I recommend eating the salad first, before the meal. They say it helps keep your blood sugar from spiking.

Udon with a large fried tofu pouch

The udon in the Premium Sushi Special Set has a huge piece of fried tofu (yuba) in it, and it's a tasty, savory udon.

There's a cute little fish cake in it too haha. It also comes with pickled ginger and rakkyo (pickled scallions).

How should you eat the sushi at Sushi Doku The Songdo?

At Sushi Doku The Songdo, you brush soy sauce onto the sushi with a brush. That way you can control how much soy sauce you use, which is handy haha

Large shrimp tempura and karaage

There's shrimp tempura too, and the shrimp tempura is huge.

It comes with sauce on it and is fried crisp, so it was a really delicious shrimp tempura TT

Karaage comes along too, so you get a variety, and this is a great place for fried food. It's really good TT

Verdict on a third visit to Sushi Doku The Songdo

On the way out, Sushi Doku The Songdo has dental floss and mouthwash, so you can keep your after-meal manners too. The meal itself was so satisfying, the lineup is excellent, and afterward you really feel you've had a full, filling meal with lots of different food!!

The sushi quality is very good. I also liked how easy it is to use, being connected to Songdo Hyundai Outlet. The staff were all kind too, so it was a pleasant meal. If you're looking for sushi at Songdo Hyundai Outlet, definitely give it a visit.
