Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is a restaurant with 33 kinds of noodle dishes at 80 Seongbok 1-ro, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open daily 11:00-21:00, has parking, and has baby chairs too. While visiting the Lotte Mall at Seongbok Station and looking for a good restaurant in Seongbok-dong, Suji, I found this spot famous for noodle dishes and went. The parking was well set up too, so it was easy to get to ( ੭ ˙🐽˙ )੭

As soon as you take the elevator up from the parking lot and turn left, you'll see several shops. Chilseong Jemyeonso, the place I visited, was right there too, so it wasn't hard to find at all.

True to being a restaurant specializing in 33 life-changing noodle dishes, Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch has quite a variety of noodle menus. We could already see the menu before even walking in, and got so excited looking at everything we wanted to eat (ง*`˘´*)ว

Inside Chilseong Jemyeonso: self-serve bar and baby chairs
The interior of Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch has several wood-tone tables and chairs, and the soft lighting gave off a warm feel. A real find near Seongbok Station.

Basic water is provided, but there's also a dispenser you can use if you want colder ice water, and the self-serve bar had small plates as well as baby tableware and baby chairs, making it comfortable to visit with a baby too.

Ordering is done through the tablet at each table, and you pay right away too.
What two people ordered for 40,000 won
- Charcoal beef samgyeopsal bibim jjolmyeon ₩14,500
- Chilseong spicy jjolmyeon noodle soup ₩9,500
- Old-school tteokkkochi ₩3,000
- Snow cheese tteokbokki ₩10,000
- Zero-sugar cola ₩2,000
- Total ₩40,000

The zero-sugar cola came out first. It came with an ice cup so we could drink it cold. Maybe because the weather's been hot lately, cola's become a must-order with meals these days ..( ˙ε˙; ) Still, since it's zero-sugar, I feel a bit better about it while drinking it.

Chilseong spicy jjolmyeon noodle soup in a hot pot, 9,500 won
Chilseong spicy jjolmyeon is ₩9,500, an oncauldron-style hot noodle soup that comes out in a hot stone bowl with piping-hot broth. It comes served like a full spread, with jalapeños, kimchi, and pickled radish on the tray alongside it — clean and neat, a great find in Seongbok-dong, Suji.
It was my first time seeing jjolmyeon (chewy noodles) served spicy and hot in a piping-hot cauldron with warm broth. I honestly ordered without knowing it was a hot-soup style dish, so it felt unfamiliar, but it tasted better than expected, and since we visited on a rainy day, it tasted even better (´•灬•')
The chewy texture of the jjolmyeon noodles was still very much alive, and it was the kind of spicy hot soup that would've cured a hangover if we'd been drinking the night before — perfect for a cold day or a hangover cure.

Smoky charcoal-grilled beef bibim jjolmyeon, 14,500 won
Charcoal beef samgyeopsal bibim jjolmyeon is ₩14,500, a sweet and tangy jjolmyeon where the charcoal-grilled beef samgyeopsal — true to its name, with real charcoal aroma — paired perfectly with the chewy noodles. It also comes loaded with fresh vegetables ദ്ദി ' ᵕ ' )
And above all, the portion was really huge, a real find near Seongbok Station. The noodles came in a massive amount, and the vegetables and beef that came with it were plentiful too, so it was really filling as a full meal.

The spicy-tangy sauce went really well with the savory taste of the beef samgyeopsal. Adding meat instead of just eating the noodles alone made it taste even more well-rounded, and the crunchy vegetables in various forms added even more texture variety to the charcoal beef samgyeopsal bibim jjolmyeon.

Sides: snow cheese tteokbokki and old-school tteokkkochi
The snow cheese tteokbokki we ordered as a side was ₩10,000, and the old-school tteokkkochi was ₩3,000. The tteokbokki (spicy rice cake stir-fry) came piled high with fluffy snow cheese on top of the red sauce — looking delicious just from appearance alone — and it even came with two pieces of gimmari (fried seaweed roll) ( • ⩊ • )

I also liked that the rice cakes were wheat-flour tteok, and the cooking on them was truly perfect at Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch. Honestly, I wanted to come back just for the tteokbokki alone. As the cheese melted into the sweet-spicy tteokbokki sauce, it added a soft, savory flavor to the snow cheese tteokbokki.

And among the street-food menu, my absolute favorite: old-school tteokkkochi. I've gone around looking for places that sell tteokkkochi (grilled rice cake skewers), so when I saw they had it here, I ordered it right away. It had a generous coating of sweet sauce, tasting exactly like the tteokkkochi from old-school street food stalls, just like its name suggests. The chewy rice cake combined with the sweet seasoning made me really curious about the secret to their tteokkkochi sauce ദ്ദി (ᵒ̴̶̷᷄﹏ᵒ̴̶̷᷅)
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch has a wide variety of menus that just about anyone would like, like jjolmyeon, tteokbokki, and tteokkkochi, so it's fun to pick and choose based on what you're craving. Especially since we didn't just stick to one dish but ordered several to share, it was a restaurant near Seongbok Station we could enjoy even more fully •̤᷆ ₃ •̤᷇ ฅ
