I was watching TV and some celebrities were making jokbal (Korean braised pig's feet) on screen — and I got SO hungry watching it... I'd only had breakfast, no lunch, so seeing them eat jokbal was pure appetite bait. Ugh, I couldn't take it, so I decided: dinner tonight is jokbal!!! Decision made! So I grabbed my boyfriend's hand and toddled off to a jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station in Suji-gu, Yongin — Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch.
Where is Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch, and where do you park?
Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch is at 10 Gwanggyojungang-ro 296beon-gil, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 1st floor, unit 107, open daily 11:30–23:30 (last order 22:30). It was about a 20-minute drive from home. Since I'd skipped lunch, we headed out for an early dinner and got there around 5:20.

Parking is in the basement of the building, so we parked there.
Nice and easy parking, done 😆

Take the elevator in the parking garage up to the 1st floor and you'll arrive right at Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch.

Finally arrived!!! There are outdoor tables too. I thought it'd be nice to eat outside once the weather cools down a bit more.

There's a sign with the business hours and another sign announcing a ₩5,000 discount for takeout. We were hungry, so let's go in! The staff greeted us kindly and we picked a table.
What a spice-shy couple ordered: Set 4 bossam and warm jokbal, 50,000 won
At Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch we chose Set 4 tender bossam + warm jokbal, medium, ₩50,000. The flame-grilled bulljokbal (fire-grilled spicy jokbal) sounded tempting so I asked the staff about it, but they said it's really quite spicy — so the two of us spice-shy folks went with the warm jokbal instead.

Cheongdam Jokbal's menu board. The flame-grilled bulljokbal sounded appealing, so I asked the staff, and they said it's quite spicy. My boyfriend and I are both spice-shy, so what we picked this time was
Set 4 tender bossam + warm jokbal (medium, ₩50,000)
And of course, we added the thing we can never skip — 2 cans of zero-sugar cola.

I also spotted an ingredient-origin sign and a makgeolli (rice wine) menu board, but what really built my trust was the sign explaining that they use 100% Korean-raised fresh pig's feet delivered daily, boiled in-store each day, and sold same-day only.

They're also running a receipt-review event! Apparently you get a free seaweed rice ball. So of course we joined right away 🤩
Inside Cheongdam Jokbal: seating and atmosphere
The interior of Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch. There are about 6 tables inside, plus a few more outside. While we were looking around, the staff came to set our table.

Side dishes, vegetables, and sauces laid out neatly. Looking closer, the tray looks custom-made. The middle spot is probably reserved for the delicious jokbal, right?! Hehe.
The staff also brought over bean sprout soup. Warm and refreshing, it was really good. I hadn't had bean sprout soup in a while — so good. My boyfriend had a spoonful and said it was tasty too (wait, I thought he didn't like bean sprout soup?), so I asked him about it and he said no, he actually likes it just fine haha (okay, sure, whatever 🤪).

And then the zero-sugar cola arrived! One sip and it was so refreshing, hehe. And in the meantime, finally, finally!!!!
How did the warm jokbal and bossam taste?
The warm jokbal at Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch had zero gamey smell and was tender, chewy in a good way. The bossam was soft and savory in one bite too, and the medium Set 4 portion felt like enough for 2–3 people.
Tender bossam + warm jokbal

Ugh, seriously... the neatly arranged jokbal and bossam looked so appetizing, my hunger kicked into gear. Okay, let's dig in~

One side had the enticing jokbal, the other side the delicious-looking bossam. Judging by the portion, it looked like enough for 2–3 people. And most of all, the smell coming off the jokbal and bossam was seriously... I couldn't wait to eat 😋

I tried the jokbal first. I popped a big, appetizing piece into my mouth and... whoa, it melted. Genuinely tender and soft, clean-tasting yet so chewy — the texture was fantastic. And most of all, there was truly zero gamey smell. It'd been a while since I had such delicious jokbal. Not dry at all, just tender — that tenderness was the whole point.
Next I tried the bossam. One bite in and... whoa, the bossam was also so soft. The soft, savory flavor filled my mouth, and I thought, so this is what real tenderness is like.
Dipping jokbal in the flame-grilled bulljokbal sauce
For a spice-shy eater intimidated by the spicy flame-grilled bulljokbal, the best combo was dipping small bites into the bulljokbal sauce. The dried radish strips and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) also paired well with the jokbal and bossam.

We tried dipping into the dried radish strips, the ssamjang, and the flame-grilled bulljokbal sauce respectively. The real highlight here was the bulljokbal sauce. It was quite spicy for us, but so savory, deep, and rich — it went great with the jokbal and bossam. If we'd eaten the bulljokbal on its own it probably would've been too spicy, but dipping in small amounts like this was genuinely delicious. My boyfriend kept saying the sauce was spicy but tasty, and kept nibbling more haha. Second favorite was the dried radish strips, which also paired amazingly with the jokbal and bossam — chewy with a deep seasoning that was really satisfying.

Now let's wrap it in perilla leaves and lettuce! Soft lettuce with tender jokbal and bossam, plus a dab of dried radish strips and ssamjang — chomp! My boyfriend wrapped one and fed it to me, and my mouth was full of deliciousness, hehe. Personally I think wrapping it in perilla leaves was the best — I love that perilla aroma, it was seriously so good. This is what the happiness of eating feels like...
Free makguksu for dine-in guests at Cheongdam Jokbal
Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch gives dine-in guests a free makguksu (buckwheat noodles), and joining the receipt-review event gets you a free seaweed rice ball. The makguksu sauce looked spicy but wasn't actually spicy at all — the savory flavor really came through.
Makguksu

While we were happily enjoying the jokbal and bossam, they brought over makguksu. Apparently it's free for dine-in guests. Ugh... the makguksu looked so good too!!

My boyfriend mixed the makguksu up nicely, swish swish, chop chop. And the finished, appetizing makguksu! Let's try a bite — the sauce looked spicy but turned out not spicy at all, with the savory flavor really popping — genuinely delicious. My boyfriend tried it too and said, surprised, 'Oh, this makguksu is actually good?!' haha.

I gently placed some makguksu on top of a piece of bossam and ate it in one bite. The chewy makguksu noodles and soft bossam went together beautifully, and the makguksu's seasoning boosted the savory flavor even further. There are so many ways to eat jokbal and bossam! Finding new ways to eat was half the fun, doubling both the eating pleasure and the discovery pleasure.
Seaweed rice ball from the receipt-review event
And then the seaweed rice ball. My boyfriend diligently squeezed and molded it into bite-sized rice balls again.

Finely chopped pickled radish was mixed in well, so every bite had that tangy crunch — delicious. Rice balls never disappoint. Topping it with a bit of kimchi or dried radish strips was also amazing. We ate so eagerly that before we knew it, only an empty plate was left... seriously gone in a flash haha.
I wanted to eat jokbal after seeing it on TV, and today I totally got my wish 😆 The jokbal was so chewy, clean-tasting, and just plain delicious. My boyfriend also looked satisfied after eating, with a happy expression 😊 Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch, a jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station! It'd also be a great place for a group dinner near Sanghyeon Station.
