Friday night pizza with friends in Haenggung-dong, Suwon: Low Five

I was looking for a nice Western restaurant in Haenggung-dong for a Friday night with friends I hadn't seen in a while, and ended up at Low Five's flagship branch 🍕 It's famous for its signature corn pizza, so I went in with high hopes. I'll cover what to order, the Friday-evening wait, and parking in Haenggung-dong!

What's the atmosphere like at Low Five's Haenggung-dong flagship?

Low Five's flagship looks stylish from the outside, and the inside is clean and cozy, so it's a comfortable place to eat in Haenggung-dong. The tables are well spaced and the mood is great, so I'd recommend it for a pre-wedding friends' get-together (cheongmo) or a blind date!

I recommend it to anyone looking for a Western restaurant with a good atmosphere.

What does the signature corn pizza taste like?

Low Five's corn pizza is the signature: sweet, savory corn with a slightly spicy sauce, so it feels less heavy 🌽🍕 This one pizza blew up on Instagram and turned the place into a spot with a line. Having tried it, I can see why.. haha

The corn flavor is charming and definitely different from a typical pizza. Big kernels of corn sit on every slice, with shrimp toppings here and there! Best of all, the sweet corn with the slightly spicy sauce keeps it from feeling heavy, and the dough is good too.

How is the kimchi fried rice?

The kimchi fried rice is as popular as the corn pizza, a rice dish with a strong savory depth and soft egg. There's a separate avocado kimchi fried rice, but it was sold out ㅠㅠ

If you think it's just ordinary kimchi fried rice, you're in for a surprise.. The savory flavor is insane.. and the egg is soft and fluffy and so good! The pizza + kimchi fried rice combo, which you can only get at Low Five, is the best ♥

And the truffle cream pasta?

Low Five's truffle cream pasta has well-cooked noodles, a rich cream sauce, truffle aroma and mushroom topping all coming together. It was my first time trying truffle cream pasta, and it deserves to be called a great pasta place in Haenggung-dong.. it was perfect.

How many people should come, and how should you order?

At Low Five, ordering a mix of pizza, pasta and rice dishes lets you enjoy lots of different flavors, so I recommend it for groups. That's why I suggest it for a Haenggung-dong cheongmo or group gathering haha. For a blind date, I'd go with pizza or pizza + pasta!

What's at Low Five's self-serve bar?

The restaurant has a self-serve corner where you can pick up water, tissues and utensils yourself. There's also hot sauce and Parmesan powder to go with your pizza, as you like. The staff are friendly too!

Is it good for a cheongmo or blind date in Haenggung-dong?

With its stylish interior and relaxed mood, Low Five suits a Haenggung-dong date as well as a blind date. It's also a fine spot for a friends' wedding-invitation gathering. But Friday evenings and weekends can get crowded, so if you want a relaxed conversation, check whether reservations are possible and when it's busiest.

How long is the Friday-evening wait at Low Five?

If you want to eat around 7pm on a Friday, get on the waitlist around 6:20pm. After 7:10pm, the waitlist at Low Five had closed..

Where do you park near Low Five in Haenggung-dong?

For parking, the nearby Seonggyeong Library parking lot is a handy option. On weekdays it's free for the first hour and ₩2,400 for 120 minutes, so it's a reasonable price.
