Suwon pizza restaurant for weekday dinner vongole pasta: Low Five

In short

Low Five Sinpung is a casual Western restaurant tucked in a Haenggung-dong alley in Suwon, Gyeonggi. Visiting on a weekday evening via CatchTable's line-up reservation, two diners shared corn pizza, kimchi fried rice, vongole pasta, and lemonade, finding the light vongole a great counterpoint to the richer pizza and fried rice. Pet-friendly seating and a baby chair make it easy for dates, friend hangouts, or family meals alike.

I finally visited

I finally visited Low Five Sinpung, a pizza spot in Haenggung-dong 🍕 The original branch is famous, but I'd heard the Sinpung location was just as good, so I was curious. This place has that casual-restaurant vibe where you order a bunch of good things and walk out stuffed! Especially if you love corn pizza, this is a Haenggung-dong pizza place worth checking out ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

How does the CatchTable waitlist work?

CatchTable real-time waitlist screen

You can check the real-time wait status on CatchTable and register for the queue there. Since line-up reservations are available, if you already know your schedule, registering ahead means you can skip waiting and just enjoy a relaxed meal — pretty handy.

I went in around 7:30 pm on a weekday.

The exterior, tucked in a Haengridan-gil alley

Low Five Sinpung sits along an alley that runs from the main Haengridan-gil street toward Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, so it's a nice stop to make in the middle of a Haenggung-dong date course.

The exterior fits right into Haenggung-dong's old alley atmosphere while still carrying Low Five's own casual style! The kind of storefront you'd glance at twice just walking by •• 🤎

Seating inside — group tables, sofa seats, window seats

It was fully booked when I arrived, so I took interior photos on my way out after eating haha

Overview of the Low Five Sinpung interior

The inside was bigger than I expected! There are group tables, of course, and

the sofa seats, which are Low Five's most popular spot •• 🛋️

The popular sofa seating

Plenty of 2- and 4-person table seats too!

I thought this window seat looked especially nice. Next time I want to sit here!!!! The ultimate date seat!!

The interior has this casual, exotic feel that reminds me of a burger joint somewhere out West in the US, but it's cozy in a way that works. Lots of friend groups and couples were there too, so the whole vibe was lively (๑ˊᵕˋ๑)੭

Pets are welcome here, with a few rules (carrier or leash, vaccinations required!). They even keep separate dishes and a trash bin just for pets — such a thoughtful touch 🐕🤍

The menu and how to order

Online menu showing pizzas and pastas

There's a wide range of pizzas, plus pasta, kimchi fried rice, and salads, so it's a great spot to mix and match different dishes. I liked how many options there were.

The basic table setting!

Self-service bar with utensils
Condiments like hot sauce and parmesan cheese

All the utensils (like knives) and condiments (hot sauce, parmesan) you need are ready at the self-service bar! There were even wet wipes, which made eating pizza with your hands easy.

Three dishes for two — corn pizza, kimchi fried rice, vongole pasta

  • Corn pizza
  • Kimchi fried rice (no avocado)
  • Vongole pasta
  • Lemonade
Table with the three dishes ordered for two

At first I wondered if three dishes for two people was greedy… but in the end I was glad we went for it and ate well haha

Corn pizza

Corn pizza loaded with toppings
Corn pizza

As the most famous item here, it looked seriously delicious from the get-go …( ⸝⸝•。•⸝⸝ ) ♥ The toppings were generous and the corn's mellow, nutty flavor came through nicely.

The cheese pull —— you can see it stretching..! If you're looking for a Haenggung-dong pizza spot, please, please go to Low Five Sinpung 🥺

A slice of corn pizza with stretching cheese

It's a white truffle cream base with bacon, chili shrimp, butter seasoning, and corn, and maybe that's why it tastes so different from a typical pizza. The nutty, salty flavor was addictive — I usually can only manage two slices of pizza but ended up eating three…

Kimchi fried rice

Everyone raves about Low Five's kimchi fried rice, so I had to try it, and it was so good ••! It comes topped with a fluffy swirl omelet, so it's cute just to look at..

Kimchi fried rice topped with a swirl omelet

The salty, savory punch typical of kimchi fried rice paired with the soft texture of the egg worked well even alongside the pizza. It was slightly spicy, loaded with thick bacon or meat — I'm not totally sure which — and it was delicious.

Vongole pasta

Vongole pasta with clams
Vongole pasta

This is an oil-based pasta with clams, so overall it felt light and clean! Since the pizza and fried rice were both on the richer side, having vongole in between kind of reset the palate — I liked that.

The clams gave off a gentle savoriness, and the noodles worked well with the sauce, so it was easy to keep eating without feeling heavy. When you're ordering multiple dishes together, having one lighter pasta like this really rounds out the combo (。•ㅅ•。)♡

Lemonade

A glass of refreshing lemonade

The lemonade was fresh and sweet, perfect alongside the food! The food is on the bolder side, so the refreshing lemonade made me eat even more (???)… lol

A baby chair available at the restaurant

A baby chair is also available, so it's a great spot for family meals with kids too.

Where's the restroom?

For the restroom, you need to grab the key from the counter! Just pick up the cute capybara doll. If it's not there, someone's already using it ~~~

The restroom is in the building on the right once you step outside the pizza place! Just unlock the door with the electronic key attached to the doll. It was well-kept and pleasant to use 🤍

In summary

If you want good Western food in Haenggung-dong, Low Five Sinpung is extra satisfying since you can enjoy pizza, pasta, and rice dishes all in one place! Ordering three dishes for two felt like a lot at first, but we ended up eating so happily that I already want to order a spread again next time. If you're looking for somewhere to go on a date or grab a good meal with friends in Haenggung-dong, I recommend Low Five Sinpung (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)♡
