I recently visited Drunken Thai Sangam Branch (드렁킨타이 상암점), a place that really captures the feel of Thailand.

From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was traveling down a Thai alley, and not just the food quality but the owner's kindness stuck with me. Free extra noodles and free extra rice made it a very satisfying office-worker lunch spot too! Let me tell you about this Thai lunch place in Sangam.
Is Drunken Thai Sangam Branch a good lunch choice in Sangam?
Drunken Thai Sangam Branch is a good Thai restaurant when you want a different kind of lunch in Sangam. That's exactly why I went: I wanted something different for lunch in Sangam.

The Thai-language sign and bold colors on the outside catch your eye, and you'd probably glance over at it as you walk past. I like Thai food in general, so I went in with high expectations, and to cut to the chase, I'd definitely go back.

On top of tasty food, the owner was genuinely kind, which made a great first impression. 😊 He explained the menu carefully and handled extra requests without any fuss, so I was in a good mood through the whole meal. If you work in Sangam, this is a Thai lunch spot worth remembering.
Atmosphere at Drunken Thai Sangam Branch
The inside of Drunken Thai Sangam Branch is decorated with pink chairs, patterned tiles and Thai knickknacks. Stepping in, those pink chairs, patterned tiles and Thai props really stood out.

It felt like a local restaurant in Bangkok, enough to give you a little holiday feeling. The self-order kiosk was neat and tidy, and every small prop had Thai charm.

I also liked the thoughtful touch of vitamin candy and toothpicks that you can help yourself to. Overall it was cute yet comfortable.

Above all, I was impressed by how the owner treated every single customer kindly. Food matters at a good restaurant, but service is what you end up remembering, right? With that added in, I'm happy to recommend this as a Thai lunch spot in Sangam.
Menu and free extra noodles and rice at Drunken Thai Sangam Branch
Extra noodles and extra rice are free at Drunken Thai Sangam Branch. The menu offers a range of authentic Thai dishes, including pad thai, rice noodle soup, tom yum goong (spicy shrimp soup) and pad kra pao moo sap (stir-fried pork with holy basil).

From familiar dishes like pad thai, rice noodle soup, tom yum goong and pad kra pao moo sap to food with a strong local feel, there was plenty to choose from.

What surprised me most was that extra noodles and extra rice are free! With restaurant prices these days, that's a rare service, and I'd say it's the best perk for an office-worker lunch. It's a big plus if you want to eat your fill.
📌 What I ordered
- Shrimp pad thai
- Pad kra pao moo sap
- Rice noodle soup
It nails both value and flavor, so I imagine this Sangam Thai lunch spot is especially popular at lunchtime.
How were the beef noodle soup, shrimp pad thai and pad kra pao moo sap?
Beef rice noodle soup
The first thing I tried at Drunken Thai Sangam Branch was the beef rice noodle soup.

Generous chunks of beef sat in a rich broth, and the soup was clean yet deep in flavor, which impressed me.

Even someone new to Thai food could enjoy it without any worry.

Shrimp pad thai
The shrimp pad thai was better than I expected! Plump shrimp, chewy noodles and a sweet-and-sour sauce came together nicely.

A light squeeze of lemon brought out the local flavor even more.

Pad kra pao moo sap
The pad kra pao moo sap suited Korean tastes really well.

The basil aroma and savory minced pork really came through, and when I broke the soft-yolk egg and mixed it into the rice, a bowl was done in no time! I've saved it as one of the Thai lunch spots in Sangam I want to revisit. haha
Is Drunken Thai Sangam Branch worth going back to?
Drunken Thai Sangam Branch is a Thai restaurant with good food, atmosphere, kindness and value, so I'd happily go again. It isn't just a place that sells Thai food; it offers the feel and experience of Thailand too.

The food captured authentic Thai flavor well, and above all the owner's kindness stayed with me for a long time. Free extra noodles and free extra rice are, I think, the best advantages for an office-worker lunch. If you want an exotic lunch in Sangam, or a filling and satisfying meal, I highly recommend it!

Next time I plan to go back for tom yum goong and other Thai dishes. 😍 If you work in Sangam, this is a Thai lunch spot worth saving. The atmosphere, the taste and the kindness all satisfied me, so I recommend it with confidence.
