Jamsil Korean pub for a Sunday round two after claw machines: Jojomomo
In short
Jojomomo is a Korean pub serving Korean dishes with drinks, in the basement of an arcade building in Bangi Meokja Golmok (Bangi food alley), Jamsil, Songpa, Seoul. During a birthday month, the writer and friends had a first round nearby, played the claw machines and dropped into Jojomomo on a whim; it was a Sunday, so there was no wait. They drank draft beer from cat-shaped glasses with a pollock roe cheese potato pancake and gochujang pork stew, and a light round two at Jojomomo turned into a full meal.

Why I picked Jojomomo, a Bangi pub in Jamsil, for round two
Jojomomo is a Korean pub in Bangi-dong, Jamsil. It was my birthday month, and we friends were finally meeting up in Jamsil after a long time, so I chose it for round two. I was agonizing over where to go and landed here. It would also be a nice spot for a cozy second-round date 🤫

Where is Jojomomo?
Jojomomo is in the basement of the Daeppang arcade building in the Bangi food alley (Bangi meokja golmok) in Jamsil. Since it's underground it's easy to walk past, so just look for the arcade building. Honestly, we'd had round one nearby, were playing claw machines, and went "hey, this looks good?" and walked right in.

How are the wait and seating at Jojomomo?
You can join the waitlist through Catch Table, and since it was a Sunday we luckily(?) got in with no wait. But don't people in Bangi-dong have to go to work tomorrow? It's a street full of young people, so everyone was drinking late into the night... us old folks are struggling.. 👵
The tables were packed, but the bar counter was relatively(?) roomy, so if you're a couple visiting as two, I'd recommend the bar seats.

Signature dishes at this Bangi pub
- Signature pork rib suyuk (boiled pork) 2.9
- Cream tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) & gamtae scallops 2.7
- Gochujang pork stew 2.5
- Mul dakgalbi (soupy chicken stir-fry) 2.5
Jojomomo's free starter snacks and welcome drink
As soon as you order, Jojomomo brings a welcome drink and potato salad with crackers as the basic snack 🍶 Potato salad plus crackers, need I say more?

The table was set the moment we ordered! And they even prepared a welcome drink 👍 Plus potato salad and crackers come as standard~ You all know how easily drinks go down with simple snacks like these, right?

Can you choose your own cup?
When you order alcohol at Jojomomo, you can pick from a variety of cups. ❣️ For couples, a little event like this would be a nice way to lift the mood~ I immediately chose the cute cat cup.

First, let me wet my throat with draft beer~ Draft beer plus soju is the ultimate truth.

First round-two snack: roe cheese potato pancake
The first thing we ordered at Jojomomo was the roe cheese potato pancake (myeongran chi-jeu gamja-jeon). Salty pollock roe, rich cheese and a potato pancake make an easy way to start round two.

Definitely dunk it deep in the sauce that comes with the roe cheese potato pancake ✨

Gochujang pork stew, ordered even though it was round two
The second dish we ordered at Jojomomo was the gochujang pork stew, packed with pork. I was craving a spicy, kick-in-the-throat broth, so I ordered it even though it was round two.
No questions asked: if you're starting here for round one, order the gochujang pork stew first. We went in for something light and ended up with a hearty round two.. we should've just ordered it from the start.
That's my honest review of Jojomomo, where we went for a light round two and left having had a proper meal~
