Bangi-dong date bar for scallop pasta and Cheongha: Wareureu Mansion

I had a date with my husband in Bangi-dong for the first time in a while 💕 We wanted tasty snacks and a drink, and after some debate we ended up at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch! Verdict first: atmosphere, food and drinks were all perfect, so I left very happy 😊

Where is Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, and what's the atmosphere like?

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building inside the Bangi eat-and-drink alley. Being on the 2nd floor, the sign stands out, so it wasn't hard to find. Inside, the decor is clean with just the right touch of retro, and it looked great both for dates and for get-togethers with friends!!

It was full the whole time after we came in, which felt like we'd found a good spot, and my husband, who loves feeling proud about that kind of thing, was pleased haha

The very first page of the menu lists several events, which makes it easy to join in. Next time I'll go in before 7pm and get the draft beer for ₩100 haha

Honestly, the raw shrimp sashimi was what I most wanted to eat, but it was sold out when we went in the evening T_T Even though it's crowded, it isn't just a loud bar, and you can talk comfortably, which I liked even more! And the menu wasn't full of ordinary bar snacks; every dish had a name that made me curious!

After some deliberating, this is what we ordered!

• Steamed whole East Sea choco squid
• Scallop pasta
• Two draft beers

Hanmac draft beer and complimentary macaroni salad

At Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, a draft beer comes with macaroni salad. I really love the Hanmac draft beer. Both the fizz and the foam are so smooth!

Before the food arrived, I'd already asked for more macaroni salad haha. It's tasty and keeps you reaching for it.

Is the scallop pasta at Wareureu Mansion any good?

The first dish to arrive at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch was the scallop pasta! I usually don't expect much from pasta at a bar, but this was as good as most pasta restaurants!

There were plenty of scallops and the noodles were cooked just right. The pasta is thin, so the texture is nice and you can really taste the sauce. It's salty yet full of savory depth, and I ordered it thinking it would go really well with Cheongha (a brand of soju-style rice wine)!

Whole steamed East Sea choco squid packed with innards

The steamed whole East Sea choco squid grabs your eyes from the first look! The squid is really plump, and above all it's packed with innards, so the richness spread the moment I took a bite!!! The innards just ooze out haha

If you like squid innards, I think you'll be very happy with this. We were completely satisfied, it was so good!! It came with a variety of sauces too, so dipping to your own taste was fun. The seasoned water dropwort (minari) was especially tasty, and my husband loved it haha

Is Wareureu Mansion a good date bar for light drinkers?

We're a couple who can't hold our drink but love enjoying it, and that day we had Cheongha at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch. Tasty snacks plus a cold drink..💚 We were like, this is the little happiness in life haha

The place was kept really clean overall, and the staff were friendly, so I was in a good mood throughout the meal!! These days atmosphere matters as much as taste, and Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch satisfied both!! The best bar in Bangi-dong for a meal and a drink!

There are lots of places with only good atmosphere or only good food, but not as many that deliver both, right haha What I liked most about Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is that besides the tasty snacks and drinks, it's a space where you can spend a pleasant time 💚

Thanks to it, my husband and I had a relaxed date for the first time in a while, and next time I plan to work through the other signature dishes one by one!! I think everyone will be satisfied if you visit once~! It was a memorable day, a happy date thanks to the delicious food haha
