Gangnam restaurant for a date: Awesome Rose on Garosu-gil

Awesome Rose is a basement Western-style restaurant on Garosu-gil in Gangnam, Seoul. I ordered Brown Bread, Rose Steak Deopbap, and Rose Caprese, and especially liked pairing the Caprese with the bread. The rose-themed seats and relaxed atmosphere made conversation easy, though the route downstairs had a slight slope.

Bangbaeng Sageori ginseng chicken soup with yam broth: Masamgyetang

Masamgyetang Bangbaeng Sageori Branch is a ginseng chicken soup restaurant on the first floor of Seohui Starhills Officetel near Bangbaeng Sageori in Gangnam, Seoul. I tried the soup made with blended yam and found it creamy, mild, and rich, with tender chicken; parking was also convenient during my visit. It was a bright, tidy place, although this review does not assess anything beyond that visit.

Pufferfish restaurant in Gangnam: clear and spicy milbok soup

Bogi-o Boguk is a Gyeongsang-style pufferfish restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. My husband and I ordered clear and spicy milbok soup for ₩24,000 each; the clear broth was mild, the spicy one had a pleasant kick, and the fish was chewy. The bright, spacious dining room also seemed suitable for family meals or group gatherings.

Masamgyetang Baengbaeng Sageori Branch is a chicken restaurant on Dogok-ro 3-gil in Gangnam, Seoul, with 90 minutes of free underground parking when you dine. My family ordered two bowls of samgyetang and boneless chicken; we liked the thick, clean-finished broth, tender chicken, and tidy dining area and self-service bar.

Gangnam Korean restaurant for spicy dakdoritang: Masamgyetang

Masamgyetang Bangbaeng Sageori Branch is a Korean restaurant near Bangbaeng Intersection in Gangnam, Seoul. I ordered the 2–3-person dakdoritang; its broth was spicy and sharp at first, then gently savory, with very soft potatoes. Rice was ordered separately, but the 90-minute free-parking notice for diners was welcome.
