Suseong Daegu Korean restaurant stone-grilled ribs: Banwoldang
In short
Banwoldang Buja Sikdang Suseong Branch is a Korean restaurant in Suseong, Daegu. I ordered two servings of seokgalbi for 14,000 won per serving and enjoyed the hot stone-platter ribs with rice and ssam vegetables. Verdict: a filling, comfortable Korean meal with parking support.

Today I visited Banwoldang Buja Sikdang Suseong Branch (반월당부자식당 수성점), haha. I had been to the main branch before, but I only found out this time that there was a Suseong branch too!

Location and parking near Suseong-gu Stadium Station
It is located near Suseong-gu Stadium Station on Line 3. It is on a main road where lots of good restaurants are gathered, so it was easy to spot!

Buja Sikdang is such a well-known Korean restaurant that I visited with confidence, haha. For parking, use the curbside public parking lot. They say they offer one hour of free parking support :)

Signature dishes also served at the Banwoldang main branch
Buja Sikdang is a great Korean restaurant. Its signature dishes are seokgalbi (stone-grilled ribs) and direct-fire O,je-bokkeum (stir-fry). Seeing the official note that it is run together with the main branch in Banwoldang made me feel even more confident about eating there.

Prices for seokgalbi and direct-fire O,je-bokkeum
Here is Buja Sikdang's menu! Seokgalbi is ₩14,000 per serving, and O,je-bokkeum is ₩14,000 per serving; both require a minimum order of two servings. Rice needs to be ordered separately. Even including rice, it is still in the ₩10,000 range per person, so it seems like a great place to enjoy Korean food without feeling burdened by the price.

The basic side dishes included a simple salad and bean sprouts. They were straightforward sides that went nicely with rice.

A dining room and table ordering that work well for groups
The dining room is quite large! The inner area is separated with partitions, so I thought it would be comfortable for a group meal too. You can order from the kiosk at your own table. The whole dining room was pleasant and clean, haha.

A basic jjigae (Korean stew) came out. It was enough for two people to share.

Two servings of seokgalbi served hot on a stone platter
▶ Two servings of seokgalbi I ordered the seokgalbi! It was always the dish I liked at the Banwoldang main branch too, so I ordered the same thing again.

Because the ribs arrived on a stone platter, I could eat them right away while they were hot. That made them even more delicious, haha. They came fully cooked, so we could eat immediately without waiting!! The aroma of scallions came through too, and yes, it was delicious, haha. We each ordered a bowl of rice, and it was incredibly filling ~!

Self-serve ssam vegetables and kiosk menu photos
The self-serve bar has ssam vegetables (wrap vegetables), so just take as much as you want, haha. Wrapping the ribs in lettuce is seriously delicious~! Please make sure to have them together.
