Suwon Korean BBQ with beef and extras: Yeongpo Hwa-ro
In short
Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch is a Korean barbecue restaurant near Suwon City Hall Station in Ingye-dong, Suwon. We tried a Korean beef assortment, thick-cut Al Chadolbagi brisket, minari galbitang, and complimentary doenjang sulbap and patbingsu. Verdict: a generous choice for a beef dinner or group gathering in Ingye-dong.

Parking and atmosphere at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch near Suwon City Hall Station

Yeongpo Hwa-ro, located near Suwon City Hall Station in Ingye-dong, Suwon! There is a parking lot right in front, so parking is easy too~

After parking, don’t forget to leave your car keys at the counter 😉

A Korean barbecue restaurant greeted by a huge chandelier as soon as you walk in? 🫢 There was a lovely artwork too, so I took a photo—and only when writing this post did I properly notice it was a cow, haha. The chandelier shines so brightly ✨
The counter has hair ties, toothpicks, mouthwash, candy, and Febreze, so keep that in mind~
One side of the restaurant is packed with celebrities’ signatures 🫢 I don’t think it has been open that long, but it seems lots of famous people have already visited! The walls are lined with private rooms, so it looks great for all kinds of gatherings too~ There were rooms in different sizes as well~

The restroom is inside the restaurant too, and I loved that it was kept nice and clean!

🍷 There are menu items to enjoy with wine and beef, so keep that in mind~

The brazier for grilling the beef deliciously was all ready too!

The tableware was set out this neatly too~?! haha
Ordering the Korean beef assortment and Al Chadolbagi
- Korean beef assortment, 1 serving (150 g, ₩49,000)
- Al Chadolbagi (150 g, ₩35,000)
- Minari galbitang (₩15,000)

All the side dishes to bring out the flavor of the meat arrived too~

Napa cabbage kimchi, cucumber & radish pickles! The pickles were tangy and tasty~

Salt, wasabi, ssamjang (savory dipping paste), Cheongyang peppers & garlic, myeonginamul pickled garlic leaves, and shredded scallions. The scallions were especially so good 😋
(Complimentary) doenjang sulbap
A wonderfully thick doenjang sulbap (soybean-paste rice soup) even comes complimentary~ I’ve seen free doenjang jjigae, but this was my first time seeing doenjang sulbap offered. It was thick and rich, with that soothing, hangover-curing kind of flavor, haha.
Korean beef assortment (150 g, ₩49,000) · Al Chadolbagi (150 g, ₩35,000)
Today’s stars have arrived! What a visual ✨ Simply glowing!

We ordered one serving each of the Korean beef assortment grill and Al Chadolbagi~ The Korean beef assortment includes cuts such as skirt steak, upjin-sal beef belly, flat iron steak, and rib meat, haha. If you want to try a variety, just order the Korean beef assortment grill!

The dish that made me think we ordered so well was Al Chadolbagi! This thick-cut brisket is incredibly nutty and rich when grilled, haha. You really have to try it..💗

Now let’s grill each precious piece of meat deliciously~~

Each precious piece is grilling beautifully~ Can you see that sheen on the meat?? It would be strange if it didn’t taste good just from the look of it, haha. The first bite was with salt + wasabi! Al Chadolbagi is hard to find elsewhere, and it is truly delicious..👍

Ahh..👍 The nuttiness is seriously the best..!! It’s a flavor I’m already craving again 😍❤️
Minari galbitang and complimentary patbingsu
Minari galbitang (₩15,000)

We ordered galbitang (beef short-rib soup) too. It came piled high with fragrant minari (water parsley)~ There were glass noodles inside too, which made this glass-noodle lover cheer, haha.

When you order galbitang, they give you a sauce for dipping the meat too~

They also brought dried shredded radish and pickled onions~ The broth was tasty, and it was perfectly seasoned without adding anything! Having that hot broth was just so nice~? haha
(Complimentary) patbingsu

Just as we were about to leave after eating, they even gave us patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans), haha. The owner must be so generous. It was patbingsu loaded without skimping on ingredients! It was a familiar flavor, but a delicious one, haha. It had been a while since I’d had this truly old-school patbingsu, so it tasted even better! With the patbingsu too, we left wonderfully full and satisfied!
If you’re looking for great beef or a restaurant for a gathering in Ingye-dong, I highly recommend Yeongpo Hwa-ro!
