Starting with the basic side dishes

A full spread of basic side dishes arrived. There was lettuce, shredded scallions, cabbage salad topped with dressing, seasoned crab, white kimchi, radish salad, garlic, and ssamjang (dipping sauce), all set out in dishes. I tried the side dishes before the meat came out, haha. The cabbage salad had a crisp texture and the nutty dressing was great.
Two servings of pork ribs, straight onto the charcoal

Here are two servings of pork ribs on the plate. The bone-in meat was well marinated and glossy, haha. As soon as it hit the grill, the aroma of the meat came right up!

There was onion sauce and vegetables too, so it was easy to eat plenty of veggies alongside. Looking at this again, I'm getting hungry all over.

They cut the meat into just the right size, and I wrapped it in a lettuce leaf right away. With cabbage wraps and radish salad on hand too, there were plenty of ways to enjoy it.

The cabbage was lightly pickled and soft. And the seasoned crab... so soft and not fishy at all! Isn't that the ultimate rice thief?! I ordered a bowl of rice right away!

Doenjang stew and egg pudding
Bubbling away beside the grill was doenjang stew (soybean paste stew), and served in a bowl was egg pudding (steamed egg). The stew, simmering in an earthenware pot, was loaded with zucchini and tofu.

I love egg pudding. The surface was smooth and soft-looking, and it really was soft when I ate it too — right up my alley, haha. I have a thing for pudding in general.. ♥️ Jiggly pudding, love it!

Dessert: water naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon
A dessert water naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth) as a complimentary service! I ordered it right around when we finished the meat. The broth with floating ice shards was refreshing, and the noodles were thin and chewy. I rolled up a leftover piece of galbi with the noodles and gave it a try, haha.

A bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) also came out as a taste! Sweet and tangy and delicious, haha. But my personal favorite is still the water naengmyeon!

There's even complimentary ice cream! After finishing the meal, we got to have ice cream too.

We had the cool ice cream and then a cup of coffee on top of that. We ate so well and so happily, completely full.

Notes for finding a Jangan-dong pork rib restaurant
I was looking for a place to eat pork ribs in Jangan-dong and ended up visiting Anhung Galbi Main Branch. The meal composition was great, from the basic side dishes to the pork ribs, doenjang stew and egg pudding, all the way to dessert naengmyeon. With seating up to the second floor and group bookings available, it's also a solid choice for a family meal or a group dinner. The pork ribs were well seasoned, and being able to finish off with water naengmyeon, ice cream, and coffee made for a comfortable wrap-up after the meal.
