Anyone looking for a solo-dining spot near Gyodae Station? Even when I'm eating alone, I wanted something proper — healthy and filling. So here's where I went!
Salering Gyodae Direct Store: a 5-minute walk from Gyodae Station

This place is called Salering! It only takes about 5 minutes to walk there from Gyodae Station. It's a pretty large salad restaurant.

Usually when I eat salad I don't get full and have to eat dessert afterward, but here the salads are so generous in ingredients and portion that a salad alone is a satisfying meal.
How do you choose a poke bowl at Salering?

The menu at Salering Gyodae was bigger than I expected! Meat, salmon, seafood, tofu, even vegan options — there's something to suit anyone's taste!

I also liked that you can choose between brown rice and pasta as your base! I'm a rice person, but this seems like a great option for foreigners or people who prefer noodles.

There's also warm soup to comfort your stomach, and sandwiches you can grab and eat on the go. And the sauces — so many of them! Honestly, isn't salad all about the sauce anyway?

You choose the menu you want and can freely add extra toppings too. I thought the price was reasonable given the quality.

I ordered one real raw salmon poke + brown rice + yuzu sauce, and one grilled steak poke + pasta + gochujang mayo! Since it's ordered by kiosk, even introverts can use it comfortably.
Solo-friendly seating and 1 hour of free parking at Salering

The interior of Salering Gyodae was bigger and cleaner than I expected. There were plenty of seats for both solo diners and groups, which put me at ease. You know how it feels when you're alone and worried there won't be a seat, so you end up eating in a rush?

Also, they give you a full hour of free parking with a meal! Finding parking around Gyodae Station is basically like finding a needle in a haystack, so being able to park comfortably here is amazing. And if you write a Naver Place review, you even get a free Americano, so you can grab your coffee too.

For those like me who don't drink caffeine, there's another great option — the detox cleansing juice! I always worry about the sugar in regular drinks, so it was nice to have this healthy option to go with my salad.

There's also a self-service area with a water dispenser, cups, tissues, utensils, and even a phone stand! Really convenient for solo diners, don't you think?
Real raw salmon poke with brown rice and yuzu sauce

Now let's get into the actual menu review! First up, the raw salmon and brown rice poke I was most curious about! On top of fresh green salad there's egg garnish, mushrooms, crab stick, tomato, lettuce, corn kernels, quail eggs, crispy onions, and more! You get to taste small bits of many different things, so it never gets boring. But the real highlight was the brown-barley rice — brown rice alone can feel rough and hard to digest, but mixed with barley it was wonderfully soft yet still had a great chew.
They say adding olive oil lowers blood sugar spikes by 10 times, so it's tasty and healthy at the same time! The tangy-sweet yuzu sauce was a perfect match with the raw salmon — it's become my favorite combination.

Grilled steak poke with whole wheat pasta and gochujang mayo
Next, let's try the flame-grilled beef steak pasta! Because it's grilled directly over flame, the meat carries a smoky char that tasted like steak from a fine restaurant! And the pasta seemed to be whole wheat, so every bite felt healthy. The gochujang mayo sauce I chose was the real highlight — savory and spicy at the same time, with a creamy richness like a rosé pasta! That's probably why it felt even more filling.
