Yeonnam-dong Italian restaurant for rosé pasta with kids: Classicdang

I visited Yeonnam-dong with my child. Lasagna was on my mind, so we headed to Classicdang.

Tucked into an alley, it felt cozy from the start, like a little European restaurant. It was a nice choice when looking for Italian brunch in Yeonnam-dong and wanting the atmosphere to count too.

Classicdang location and parking

Classicdang is on the first floor at 63 Yeonhui-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It is an easy walk from Hongik University Station and Gyeongui Line Forest Park.

There is no dedicated parking, but I heard that nearby Dongjin Parking Lot can be used. We went at weekday lunchtime and were seated right away without a wait.

A little European-style space

The exterior was charming too, and the outdoor tables caught my eye. We sat farther inside, and I loved the cozy atmosphere.

Once we settled at the table and looked around, it felt easy to have a relaxed meal with my child while still making it feel like a treat. The staff were kind as well. Among Yeonnam-dong Italian brunch spots, it had an atmosphere that would suit a date or a casual lunch too.

Choosing from the menu

There were many Italian-style dishes, including lasagna, pasta, risotto, and pizza. We chose the crab-and-cheese rosé pasta, Margherita pizza, garlic bread, and Zero Coke.

The amount was just right for two people to share. It was also fun choosing several Yeonnam-dong Italian brunch dishes to share.

How was the crab and cheese rosé pasta?

Crab and cheese rosé pasta, ₩19,000. This was the dish I remembered most from that day. The rosé sauce was rich and thick, clinging nicely to the noodles. The crab blended naturally into the sauce, and the harmony came through more with every bite.

If there was sauce left, it was lovely with the garlic bread. Of everything I ate that day, this was the pasta that kept coming back to mind.

Margherita pizza

Margherita pizza, ₩21,000. I could taste the tang of the tomato sauce alongside the savory mozzarella. The crust was crisp outside and pleasantly chewy within, making even the edge easy to finish.

My child ate it very well too, so I was glad we had chosen it together. Alternating pizza with the rich rosé pasta made the meal more fun because the two dishes had such different characters.

With garlic bread

Garlic bread, ₩4,000. It had a strong garlic aroma and buttery flavor, with a soft, moist texture. In particular, dipping the garlic bread into the rosé pasta sauce really suited my taste.

We also ordered a Zero Coke for ₩3,000. For an Italian brunch meal in Yeonnam-dong, we got to enjoy a nice variety: pasta, pizza, and garlic bread.

Lasagna next time

I had come because I wanted lasagna, but this time we chose other dishes instead. So on my next visit, I would like to try the lasagna that is often introduced as a signature menu item too. My child and I ate comfortably together, and the little European-restaurant-like space stayed with me.

When I am walking around Yeonnam-dong and craving an Italian-style meal with atmosphere, I would like to stop by again. At Classicdang, I want to keep enjoying the pleasure of choosing what to try next.
