Suwon Italian restaurant with corn pizza: Low Five
In short
Low Five is a vintage-style Italian restaurant in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. I had the corn and hot pepperoni half-and-half pizza, garden salad pasta, and avocado kimchi fried rice, plus convenient one-hour free parking at Seon-gyeong Library. The sweet-savory pizza and fresh pasta were an especially satisfying pairing.

Today I finally made it to Low Five (로우파이브), the atmospheric vintage restaurant in Haenggung-dong that I’d been curious about for ages.

It’s a spot where you can try pizzas with truly distinctive looks along with unusual Italian-style dishes, so I arrived full of anticipation.

Low Five location, hours, and parking

Vintage interior and what I ordered

The moment you step inside, the concrete texture, exposed brick, and warm-toned wooden furniture come together beautifully, making it feel like a small restaurant somewhere in Europe.
There is a self-service station in the middle with water, hot sauce, spoons, forks, knives, wet wipes, and more. Sunlight streaming through the large windows makes the meal feel even more unhurried and special.

This time, I ordered the half-and-half pizza, avocado kimchi fried rice, and garden salad pasta. They all looked great :)

Corn and hot pepperoni half-and-half pizza
The half-and-half pizza I tried that day arrived in a striking contrast: corn pizza piled high with nicely charred whole-kernel corn, alongside hot pepperoni pizza loaded with salty pepperoni.

Bite into the whole-kernel corn topping and its sweet, popping texture, the rich savoriness of the cheese, and creamy house sauce create a fantastic sweet-and-salty balance that fills your mouth.

The fresh balance of garden salad pasta
Next came the garden salad pasta, layered in a large wooden bowl with plump, bouncy shrimp, avocado, cherry tomatoes, black olives, red onion, jalapeños, and shredded cheese.

The properly cooked pasta, bright fresh dressing, and fruit and vegetables nicely cut through the pizza’s richness, so it felt fresh and wholesome. The portion was generous, too.

Avocado kimchi fried rice
The avocado kimchi fried rice came topped with fluffy shredded egg, neatly sliced avocado, and snow-like cheese over spicy kimchi fried rice.

The version without avocado is ₩1,000 cheaper, but it felt like they gave you well over ₩1,000 worth of avocado.

The nutty, smooth avocado and egg gently wrap around the bold spice of the kimchi fried rice, giving you layered flavors that really settle nicely on the palate.
Recommended pairings and a few drawbacks
After enjoying the nutty, popping sweet-and-salty flavors of the half-and-half pizza, have it straight away with the crisp salad and shrimp from the garden salad pasta. Your palate feels brightened and reset, letting you keep eating without getting tired of it—almost as neatly as dessert.
Another excellent pairing is a spoonful of spicy avocado kimchi fried rice with the nutty cream-cheese crust portion of the corn pizza.
As you’d expect from a popular Haenggung-dong restaurant, the wait can get fairly long on weekends or at peak times, so I recommend visiting with time to spare. The food is generally boldly and clearly seasoned, so those who prefer milder flavors may find it a little intense.
Overall
From the sweet-and-salty corn pizza to the fresh garden salad pasta and avocado kimchi fried rice, the quality was satisfying across the board. The atmosphere was excellent and the Seon-gyeong Library parking benefit was convenient too—I’d definitely return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐(4.7/5)
