In short
Dolsoe Ssambap is a Korean restaurant in Hanam, Gyeonggi, serving ssambap set meals with plentiful wrap vegetables. A hearty ssambap meal in Hanam Misa
I normally don't make much effort to eat vegetables, but this is the magical place that turns me into an elephant inhaling greens. Haha! I visited Dolsoe Ssambap in Hanam Misa, where 12 fresh wrap vegetables and 12 side dishes come with unlimited refills!
There is ample underground parking in the new building. The lot is so spacious and clean that even beginner drivers can park comfortably.
You can choose the ssamjang (savory dipping paste for wraps) that comes with your set according to your taste. If you love savory depth and nuttiness, make sure to choose the mackerel ssamjang, served sizzling in a ttukbaegi (Korean earthenware pot)! With no fishy smell, it boosts the flavor of every wrap by 200%. Steamed egg is included too, so alternating it with the spicy stir-fried pork sends you into an endless loop!

A spacious, pleasant restaurant on a weekday evening
The moment I walked in, I was impressed by how spacious and pleasant it felt. Being inside a new building, everything was incredibly neat, and the generous space between tables was lovely.
I visited on a weekday evening and was able to walk right in without waiting, then settle in comfortably.

Ordering the spicy stir-fried pork ssambap set
The set-menu mains here are wonderfully varied: pork ribs, spicy stir-fried pork, beef bulgogi, thin-sliced pork belly, thin-sliced beef belly, and stir-fried octopus. I ordered two spicy stir-fried pork ssambap sets—the textbook combination of sweet and spicy. The price is ₩14,000 per person!

A generous spread with mackerel ssamjang
After ordering and waiting just a moment, a spread that made my jaw drop arrived. Twelve neatly presented side dishes, fluffy-soft steamed egg, and hearty doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) were all included—I thought the table legs might buckle! Most importantly, you can choose between mackerel ssamjang and seafood ssamjang for your wraps.

I chose the mackerel ssamjang, with its peppery, nutty appeal. It arrived warm in a ttukbaegi and burst with umami without a trace of fishiness. I strongly recommend the mackerel ssamjang!!

The 12 kinds of wrap vegetables... they look fresh just sitting there, don't they?
They were so fresh they looked ready to head back to the field. Put fragrant perilla leaf on tender lettuce, add a piece of smoky spicy pork and a generous spoonful of warm mackerel ssamjang, then wrap up a huge bite—ahhh—and it feels like the day's tiredness melts away. With unlimited refills, I could eat more side dishes and wrap vegetables without feeling self-conscious, and left truly full and happy.

Spicy stir-fried pork with smoky flavor and sweet heat
The first thing to catch my eye was, of course... the main dish: spicy stir-fried pork. It came piled high across the plate like a mountain, so generously portioned that I wondered whether the two of us could finish it. Just looking at it made my mouth water.
I picked up a piece while it was still hot for a taste. The meat was tender with none of that porky odor, and its gentle smoky aroma and pleasantly sweet-spicy seasoning clung beautifully to my mouth.
It was not just aggressively spicy; it had a lightly spicy, savory depth, making it an absolutely perfect match for mixing and matching with fresh wrap vegetables and neat side dishes.

Place a big lettuce leaf on your palm, add a fragrant perilla leaf, then a sheet of kelp, whatever side dishes you like, two generous pieces of spicy stir-fried pork, and lots of warm mackerel ssamjang. Wrap it into one cheek-stretching bite—ahhh—and your brow naturally furrows with the face of truth.... Eek!!!
I strongly recommend it for a family meal out, and I know I will absolutely come back whenever I crave a hearty, warm, home-style Korean meal. It is close to home, so I plan to stop by much more often, like it is my local mill!
