I finally visited Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch, which I had been eyeing whenever I passed through Baegot Avenue France. It had all the things my family loves in one place—hamburg steak, pasta, and pork cutlet—so I had always been curious.
We came because my child wanted pork cutlet, and once we had finished eating, I wondered why we had waited so long to visit. It was a lovely family meal, from handmade hamburg steak in Siheung to spicy pasta.
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot location and hours
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is on the second floor of the Orange Building at Baegot Avenue France, 26 Seouldaehak-ro 278beon-gil, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do. Its posted hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with last orders at 8:30 p.m.

Free parking is available in the Orange Building’s underground lot at Baegot Avenue France. After taking the elevator up, I spotted the restaurant on the right.
A classic Western-style restaurant in Baegot
The large black raised lettering on its light-colored sign made it easy to find.

The dark wood exterior and wooden sign by the entrance featuring a portrait added to the welcoming atmosphere.

Inside, soft lighting, arched details, and chandeliers caught my eye. It had a warm yet classic restaurant feel. It was just after 7 p.m. on a weekday, with families and couples dining, but luckily we were seated without waiting.

Our table was charming too. Its black surface was detailed with peacocks and floral patterns, which reminded me of old Korean mother-of-pearl cabinets. Together with the wooden chairs and lighting, it felt wonderfully old-fashioned.
There was also a large window on one side looking into the kitchen. We could naturally see the food being prepared, and I was impressed by how clean and tidy the visible space was.
A nostalgic water bottle and complimentary tteokbokki
A menu sat on the table, and the face-illustration call bell by the wall suited the retro mood perfectly.

The water came in a Del Monte juice bottle like the ones I remember from childhood. Even the cups brought back memories of old snack shops, which was so nice to see.

The complimentary tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) arrived too. My wife and child said it was delicious and finished the first plate so quickly that I did not even get a taste, haha. We could refill it once, so we got another serving; it had that familiar, nostalgic tteokbokki flavor.
The three dishes we ordered at Jeongssi Hambak

The menu included hamburg steak, pasta, pork cutlet, fried rice, and side dishes.
- Jeongssi Hambak: ₩11,500
- Toowoomba Pasta: ₩11,500
- Cheese Pork Cutlet: ₩13,000
We ordered the Jeongssi Hambak, Toowoomba Pasta, and the Cheese Pork Cutlet my child had wanted. Since cooking starts as soon as an order is placed, we waited while eating the tteokbokki.

Meanwhile, I brought kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), pickles, and jalapeños from the self-service bar. The side dishes, plates, and cutlery were all neatly arranged.

Our food arrived about 10 to 15 minutes after ordering. The wait was not long, and receiving food prepared to order made us feel well looked after.
Handmade hamburg steak with great juices
The Jeongssi Hambak handmade hamburg steak in Siheung came with a fried egg on top of a thick patty. Salad and cherry tomatoes added color, while the generous sauce and its pattern made the plate look carefully put together.
When I cut into it with my knife, it felt moist and juicy. As I ate, I checked whether it really was handmade hamburg steak—and it was. The combination of patty dipped in sauce with rice was especially good.
Spicy Toowoomba pasta that I loved

The Toowoomba Pasta looked appetizing, with noodles and shrimp in an orange-colored sauce. Its rich cream sauce had a spicy kick, so it did not feel heavy to me and I kept reaching for more.
It also went nicely when alternated with the hamburg steak. It is a menu item worth considering if you are looking for pasta in Baegot.
Cheese pork cutlet that my child enjoyed
The Cheese Pork Cutlet looked generous, with a large cutlet topped with sauce and a fried egg. It came as a full plate with fries, rice, and salad.

The long stretch of cheese when it was cut open looked so appetizing. Seeing my child enjoy it made me glad we had come. My child does not usually eat salad, but tried it that day too and said it was delicious.
We finished all three dishes we ordered that day, leaving our plates completely clean. The prices had already seemed reasonable when I first saw the menu, but after the meal, considering both the flavor and the composition, I felt it was great value.

With its warm Western-style atmosphere and dishes that are easy for a family to choose together, I think my family will visit often from now on. If you are looking for a Baegot restaurant where you can enjoy handmade hamburg steak in Siheung and Baegot pasta together, I recommend Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch.
