Arch-nook brunch in Haeundae: arugula prosciutto pizza at Bueokgan

In short

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a European restaurant of more than 100 pyeong on the second floor of a building along Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. With the full-height window seats taken, brunch happened at a table inside one of the big arches: arugula prosciutto pizza, shrimp anchovy oil pasta, iced batch brew coffee and a single orange. The thin-crust pizza was even better with hot sauce and leftovers were packed to go, making Bueokgan an easy, unhurried brunch stop on Dalmaji-gil.

What the arch-divided Dalmaji-gil dining room feels like

Interior of Bueokgan divided by a large arch
Inner seating area at Bueokgan with vintage furniture

Bueokgan, a large restaurant on Dalmaji-gil, is split into two moods around a big arch. Designed with the concept of a vintage classic British hotel, every piece of furniture and every accessory felt full of vintage charm ✨. There's a bright, green outer space and a dimmer, calmer inner space.

The side with the green floor-to-ceiling windows was already full, so we were seated inside instead — barely any lighting on but still bright, and the view outside the window was pretty too.

There are group tables too, so it seems worth reserving ahead! The restrooms were clean and separated by gender, easy to use. Most places on Dalmaji-gil are small restaurants and cafés, so it was nice not to worry about seating at this large restaurant — a relaxed place to spend time at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch.

Bueokgan's menu and how tablet ordering works

Bueokgan's signature half-moon table seating

Bueokgan's signature half-moon tables were pretty, and even though the space is already over 100 pyeong, the view outside the window made it feel even more open 🌿🌿 — a good-vibes Haeundae restaurant where thought clearly went into every piece of furniture, décor, and lighting.

Bueokgan's pasta and pizza menu

You order via the tablet on the table, and each menu item comes with a short description and photo, so it was easy to choose. There's everything from salads and pasta to pizza, risotto, and steak, and drinks are reasonably priced too. They also have alcohol and wine, so it seems like a good spot for a light drink in the evening. Corkage is free for up to 3 bottles, by the way!

Cutlery and vintage accessories at Bueokgan

Even the cutlery felt upscale, and the little accessories scattered around kept making me take more photos — a real Dalmaji-gil favorite. I spotted a wine bottle and now I want to come back just for wine next time 🤪🍷

How the arugula prosciutto pizza and shrimp anchovy oil pasta taste

The drinks and pasta came out first. Even the cups had the signature pattern, which was cute, and everything looked great.

Once the pizza arrived, the table was full — a proper brunch spread! The pizza came topped with fresh arugula and prosciutto.

Oil pasta with plump shrimp

The plump, springy shrimp were great, and the anchovy fragrance really came through in this signature oil pasta. It's on the salty side, so it'd probably pair well with beer too 🦐🍝🍻

The combo of arugula and prosciutto was unbeatable 🍕 Thin crust made it easy to eat casually, and it tasted even better with hot sauce drizzled on top. There are plenty of pizza options and none go over ₩20,000, so it seems worth ordering one each!

Leftover pizza on the table
Packed-to-go pizza from Bueokgan

The leftover pizza could be packed to go, so I took it home. Thanks for the meal 😊 Bueokgan was a great big Haeundae restaurant for a relaxed brunch on Dalmaji-gil.
