Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch is located in the basement 1F food court at Yonsei Cancer Hospital. It is within walking distance of Sinchon Station and in a great location for anyone looking for a meal near Yonsei University or Severance Hospital.

The restaurant was clean and fairly spacious, with an easygoing atmosphere that worked well for eating alone or having a quick meal. I also liked that, despite being a handmade burger place, you do not have to fill up on a heavy set meal—you can simply choose what you want.

This was a quietly delightful part of my visit to Bas Burger. When you dine in, you can help yourself to complimentary potato chips. (Seriously, amazing.) I assumed they would just be a basic snack, but they were crisp and savory—after having one or two, I kept reaching for more haha.

You can dip them in mayonnaise, too, and that combination was another unexpected treat. The smooth, savory mayonnaise went surprisingly well with the crisp chips.

I kept picking at them before the burger arrived and, at some point, realized I was still eating them... It may seem like a small thing, but it was nice to have something to nibble on while waiting for the meal.

The Bas Burger finally arrived! It looked exactly like an appetizing, classic handmade burger. The Bas Burger is a straightforward menu item with a beef patty, cheddar cheese, house sauce, and vegetables. With one bite, the flavor of the beef patty, cheese, and sauce came together, giving it that proper handmade-burger taste.

The bun was soft and savory, and it balanced nicely with the patty. I personally like this kind of classic burger, so I enjoyed it as a clean, tasty meal. If you prefer a burger that lets the patty, cheese, and sauce shine rather than piling on flashy toppings, it will probably suit your taste.

I thought a burger alone might feel a little lacking, so I ordered wings as well. They were baked nice and crispy, making them great to alternate with the burger.

With the potato chips on the table too, it ended up looking like quite a spread. A bite of burger, a wing, and a sip of soda... really, it is hard for that combination to go wrong haha.
