A few days ago, my boyfriend and I were near Yonsei University and suddenly wanted a seriously meaty, filling burger, so we went to Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch!

The burgers were delicious when I visited last time, but what really stayed with me was being able to eat as many crispy potato chips as I wanted, haha 🥔💕 This time, I tried the Double Bacon Cheese Burger set, which lets you focus on the flavors of beef patties, cheese, and bacon without any vegetables 🍔🥓
Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch: Location and Atmosphere
It is on B1 of the Yonsei Cancer Hospital Arcade, at B1, 50-1 Yonsei-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Since it is inside Yonsei University and Severance Hospital, it is in a great spot to stop by when visiting the hospital or having lunch near Yonsei University!

It is a bit of a walk from Sinchon Station, but it is easy to reach from the Yonsei campus and inside the hospital, making it a popular Sinchon spot for students, staff, and hospital visitors 😊
The restaurant had a bright, casual atmosphere, with seating that worked well for eating alone as well as tables for several people.

There were actually plenty of people dining alone, so I do not think it would feel awkward at all to visit solo! You can order comfortably while looking at menu photos, and takeout is available too, so it is handy for a busy lunch hour 🙌🏻
Self-Serve Potato Chips Before the Burger
If you come to Bas Burger, you have to stop by the self-serve bar before your burger arrives, haha.

Being able to take as many crispy potato chips as you want is so appealing 🥹💛 They are thin and crunchy, so once I started eating them, I just kept reaching for more!

They were good with ketchup or mayonnaise, but delicious on their own too: salty and nutty. Once again, I was the person diligently eating chips before the burger even came out 🙋🏻♀️ haha
What We Ordered That Day

- Double Bacon Cheese Burger
- 2-piece Mozza Chicken Bites
- Signature onion rings made with Japanese-style breadcrumbs

Once we added side dishes to the burger set, the table was so full it was almost overflowing 😆✨
The Double Bacon Cheese Burger Set, Enjoyed Without Vegetables
The main dish of the day was the reassuringly named Double Bacon Cheese Burger!

This is a classic burger for serious meat lovers, without vegetables, made with two beef patties, two slices of real cheddar, low-sodium bacon, house sauce, and ketchup 🍔🧀🥓 As soon as I opened the wrapper, the thick patties and melted cheese made my heart skip a beat…💕

It was tall enough that holding it in one hand made it a little hard to eat in one bite, haha. I pressed it down in half and took a big bite, and the rich meaty aroma and juicy beef patty, along with the salty, dense flavor of cheddar, filled my mouth 🤤
Mozza Chicken Bites With Stretchy Cheese
The item I personally really recommend ordering alongside your meal at Bas Burger is the Mozza Chicken Bites!

They are made by wrapping mozzarella cheese in 100% chicken thigh meat and frying it until crisp. They look like plump pieces of chicken from the outside, but the moment you split one in half, mozzarella stretches right out from the middle 😭🧀✨

The coating was crispy and the thigh meat was moist rather than dry, while the center was filled with nutty mozzarella cheese, so the combination of textures was really good!

The chicken alone was salty and clean-tasting, but the cheese made it much softer and nuttier. It is a side dish, yet it had as much presence as a main, haha 💕 Just be careful because the cheese may be hot—let it cool a little before your first bite ☝🏻
Signature Onion Rings With Japanese-Style Breadcrumbs
The signature onion rings we ordered this time are made by coating yellow onions in Japanese-style breadcrumbs and frying them until crisp!

Instead of a typical thin coating, they were covered in chunky breadcrumbs, so every bite had a proper crunchy texture 😍 The onion inside was not overly soft and still had a nice bite, with a subtle sweetness that came through the more I chewed.

Since the Double Bacon Cheese Burger is on the hefty side, the onion rings added a crispy texture in between and made a great pairing! Dip them in ketchup for that familiar sweet-and-salty combination, or have them with mayonnaise for something softer and nuttier 🧅💛
Why I Recommend It for a Filling Sinchon Lunch
Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch has a wide variety of burgers that are easy to choose according to your taste, and the side dishes are good quality too.

I especially recommend the Double Bacon Cheese Burger to anyone who wants a filling meal, because it comes with two beef patties and two slices of cheese 🍔 Order it with the cheese-filled Mozza Chicken Bites and crispy onion rings, and you can enjoy plenty of different nutty and crunchy flavors too!
Final Thoughts for a Meat-and-Cheese Craving
On a day when you are craving a heavy burger packed with meat and cheese, the Double Bacon Cheese Burger is a truly satisfying choice! The intense meaty flavor of its two patties, plus the cheddar and salty bacon, made every bite feel substantial right through to the end 😋

Adding the Mozza Chicken Bites and onion rings also made it fun to alternate between crispy, nutty sides, haha ✨ If you are looking for a filling lunch near Yonsei University or Severance Hospital, or a Sinchon restaurant where you can comfortably eat alone, I recommend Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch 🍔💕 Next time, I plan to eat my fill of chips again and try another burger too, haha 🥔🤍
