Gangnam café tiramisu tasting platter and weekend rooftop night

Today I visited [ Selected Nicks ], famous in Gangnam as a large bakery café and rooftop café. I thought it was just a place to grab coffee and dessert, but it turns out to be a massive café that takes over several floors of the building..! It's especially known for tiramisu, so I made sure to properly try the three-flavor tiramisu platter 🫶

Selected Nicks sits between buildings, so you can enter from either side street, but if you're parking, you need to come in through the alley side rather than the Dalbenti side. Keep this in mind if you're visiting by car!

The tiramisu three-flavor platter — how did the three flavors differ?

I ordered the tiramisu three-flavor platter plus an iced americano. This place has such a wide variety of tiramisu that you could almost call it a tiramisu-specialty café..!! Ordering the three-flavor platter was great because I could taste several flavors at once ☺️ Just note that you can't swap in your own choice of flavors for the platter!

If you love tiramisu and can't bear picking just one flavor, the three-flavor platter is exactly right..!!

Classic tiramisu

First up, the most basic classic tiramisu. True to its name — a moist sponge and soft mascarpone cream!! If you prefer the pure taste of tiramisu over something loaded with extras, this is the safest, most enjoyable choice 😊 It also went really well with the coffee haha

Choco banana tiramisu

Next, the one I was most curious about — choco banana tiramisu. The sponge has chocolate mascarpone cream, topped with dark chocolate shavings. So compared to the classic, it has a richer, slightly bitter yet sweet chocolate flavor!! There's banana mixed in too, so anyone with a sweet tooth will probably love this one..!!

Last is the banana tiramisu. This one is really all about the banana lol The sweet banana flavor gets a boost from vanilla bean, which really brings out the aroma! And with crumble on top, it's not just soft cream — you also get a crunchy texture here and there, which was nice 🥰

A building spread across six floors — what's different on each one

This building is actually ten stories tall, and the café uses a total of six of those floors. Each floor isn't decorated identically — they each have a slightly different purpose..!

• 3F: spacious, comfortable space good for chatting
• 2F: a large space with a gallery
• 1F: info desk and ordering
• B1: cozy studio-like feel

1st floor — ordering and takeaway cakes

The 1st floor is where you order, so it's not as spacious as the other floors. Inside, you could see the area where cakes and coffee are prepared, and this is where you place your order!!

You can also take tiramisu cake home. They have pre-packed items like this that would be good to bring home to eat or give as a simple dessert gift haha

There are also 2-piece and 4-piece boxes, which seemed nice for gifting 🎁 Above all, having pre-packaged items you can just grab and go was convenient.

It's not just tiramisu — they also sell several kinds of financiers!! On one side there were cute jellies and lollipops too, and honestly the packaging was way too cute ㅠㅠ The Cumulonimbus jellies had 1+1 and 2+1 promotions..! And that giant lollipop in the middle totally stole the show lol

There's also an outdoor terrace on the 1st floor, on the Dalbenti side of the street. On a nice day, sitting there with a coffee would probably feel pretty great.

2nd floor — gallery and hidden room

Walking into the 2nd floor felt a bit like entering a spacious gallery. It's not just regular café seating — they also sell goods, so there was a lot to look around!

There was also an interactive event with an artist going on. I couldn't just walk past it either, so I stuck on a sticker lol

And there's one special space on the 2nd floor — the hidden room. It's about 23㎡ and can fit up to 6 people. With OTT streaming, board games, and even a Nintendo Wii set up, it's not just a café space for coffee — it looked great for hanging out with friends too..!! Using the room comes with one free tiramisu, and you're allowed to bring outside food. At ₩30,000 an hour, it seemed like a pretty good deal for a group. Perfect for using like a party room with friends haha

The 2nd floor also sells cute goods made in collaboration with the artist. If you spot something you like while browsing, you just pay for it on the 1st floor!

3rd floor — the floor with the most seats

The 3rd floor seemed to have the most seating!! In the middle there are one-person tables with outlets, great for solo café time, and on both sides there's plenty of 2-seat and 4-seat tables 😍 The overall bright, comfortable atmosphere makes it good for chatting with a friend over coffee, and also fine for staying late into the night.

Every floor has a terrace, and the 3rd floor has terrace seating like this too. Weather permitting, it's a totally different vibe from indoors! And since the terraces are all connected by stairs floor to floor, it's fun exploring as you move between levels haha

8th floor — study and group-work space with no usage fee

This floor is available weekdays from 5pm and weekends from 11am. It's a great spot for seminars or group projects..! 🤫 What I liked was that there's no separate usage fee..!! Order a drink at the café and you can use this space for free, which seemed great for anyone looking for a place to study or work in a group.

The 8th floor also has plenty of solo seats, so it seemed good for quietly studying or working. There's monitor connectivity too, which would be handy for meetings or simple business tasks!

Rooftop — the view between the buildings

And here's the real highlight. The rooftop..!! ✨ Since the building sits in the Gangnam Station alleyways rather than being boxed in by tall towers, it actually feels like a proper rooftop, more than I expected..!🥹

Looking down from the rooftop, the view was so much prettier than I expected. The scenery between the buildings even had a bit of a Hong Kong feel to it lol On a nice day, sitting here with a coffee would be amazing!

You can also head down to the 8th floor from the rooftop via an outdoor staircase, and there's a table set up along the way — the whole path down was pretty romantic. It's just a staircase for moving between floors, but they've made it look so pretty that it's great for taking photos while walking down haha

Basement 1 — cozy studio feel

B1 has yet another different atmosphere. It's said to be a space used for both work and exhibitions, and it had a quiet, cozy studio-like vibe 🤔

I thought it might feel cramped being in the basement, but thanks to the high ceilings, it didn't feel stuffy at all. If anything, it's quiet, which makes it a nice spot to work alone or spend time reading.

And once again, the outdoor staircase leading back up was pretty enough that it felt like a waste to just pass by. Overall, it's not just one space that's been decorated nicely — each floor has its own distinct mood, and you can tell they put real care into the details of every single one.

Menu and set prices

The menu was more varied than expected..!! Beyond coffee and drinks, there's also tiramisu, financiers, and other desserts

There are also set menus 🥰 Solo set: 1 drink + 1 tiramisu + 1 dessert, ₩16,800 2-person set: 2 drinks + 1 tiramisu + 1 dessert, ₩21,800 3-person set: 3 drinks + 2 tiramisu + 2 desserts, ₩37,800

You can also order at the kiosk..!! Since you can handle payment yourself easily, ordering itself wasn't difficult at all haha

If you just want to buy tiramisu cake separately, put the items you want in the basket like this and then pay at the counter. It's nice to enjoy dessert at the café and also pack a tiramisu to take home haha

Once you're done eating, just return your tray at the return zone. It's self-service, so cleaning up afterward was simple.

Wi-Fi, house rules, and a review event

The Wi-Fi password is the same on every floor, and please note that outside food is not allowed and smoking is prohibited.

There was also a review event going on. Save the store and write a photo review, and you'd get a lottery ticket. I ordered coffee, wrote a review, and even got a lottery ticket — it was a small but fun little event lol

Inside, everything is connected by elevator. It also connects to the outside, which was convenient.

Where should you enter for parking

If you're visiting by car, there's a parking tower available, and the operating instructions are posted separately. The important thing, as mentioned earlier, is that you need to enter through the alley side, not the Dalbenti side, in order to park!!! If you only look toward the front of the café, you might miss the parking entrance, so keep this in mind if you're driving.

Final thoughts

💡 I originally went in just thinking it was a large café in Gangnam known for good tiramisu, but the space turned out to be so much more varied than expected, making it genuinely fun to explore the whole café haha In particular, the three-flavor tiramisu platter was great because I could try classic, choco banana, and banana all at once, and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a large Gangnam café or rooftop café who also wants to enjoy exploring the space itself. If you're looking for a café with good atmosphere in Gangnam, this is a place worth visiting at least once :)
