What is this Korean restaurant near Hongik Univ. Station like for a meal?
Wanting a satisfying Korean meal near Hongik Univ. Station, I visited Doonjeong Hongdae Direct Branch (도온정 홍대직영점). This time, I focused on a meal rather than drinks and ordered chadolbagi suyuk (thinly sliced beef brisket boiled in broth) and yukhoe bibimbap (rice mixed with seasoned raw beef and vegetables).
It was a Korean restaurant where I could choose both meal dishes and drinking snacks. I liked having several options, including gopchang jeongol (beef offal hot pot).

Of the two dishes I ordered, I tried the chadolbagi suyuk first.
It had the nutty richness of beef brisket, but left a tender, mild taste rather than feeling greasy. The meat was thin and tender, so I kept reaching for it, and it also went well with rice. I thought it would work well as a dish with drinks or for several people to share.
How was the yukhoe bibimbap as a meal?
