While looking for a great pizza and pasta spot in Yeonnam-dong to visit with my child, I found Classicdang, right by Gyeongui Line Forest Park!

It is about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik University Station. It sits in the back alley behind Dongjin Market, right beside Gyeongui Line Forest Park. This is an Italian restaurant where you can enjoy pasta, pizza, and lasagna from the ₩10,000 range per person!
My first impression of Classicdang

The moment I walked in, it felt like a European brunch spot!

It is on the first floor, and they have made the terrace so pretty!

I wanted to sit outside with a beer, but my child said it was hot and claimed an indoor seat for usㅠ

The interior was cozy and atmospheric too, so I liked it right away.

Once we were seated, the neat table setting and warm lighting made it clear that this place really knows how to create an atmosphere.

The vibe would be perfect for a Yeonnam-dong date, a blind date, or a group gathering. They take Naver reservations, so I recommend booking ahead!
Classicdang menu and prices

The menu specializes in Italian food.

Their signature lasagna is ₩18,000.

The gorgonzola pizza is ₩21,000, the Quattro Funghi pizza is ₩23,000, and the basil pesto tomato pizza is ₩24,000! They also have a really wide variety of pasta.
There are plenty of choices, including original carbonara for ₩16,000, gnocchi for ₩17,000, pomodoro burrata for ₩18,000, crab rosé pasta for ₩19,000, prosciutto risotto for ₩19,000, and shrimp aglio e olio for ₩18,000. Caesar salad is ₩14,000, and Clara beer is ₩7,000 for one glass or discounted to ₩12,000 for two!
What we ordered with my child

We ordered the gorgonzola pizza my child chose, the lasagna I chose, and garlic bread baked to order! (4 pieces of garlic bread, ₩4,000)

They baked the garlic bread as soon as we ordered, and it smelled incredible! The second my child saw it, they said, “Can I eat all the garlic bread myself?” haha

I said sure, but once it arrived, the baguette was crisp outside and moist inside with butter and garlic spread through it, and it made my mouth water. Out of the four pieces, I quickly grabbed one saying, “Mom gets just one~!”
How the gorgonzola pizza tasted

The gorgonzola pizza arrived drizzled with honey. (Gorgonzola pizza, ₩21,000) My child wanted more to dip into, so I asked for extra and they gave us some in a separate dish.

The rich cheese aroma came through right away, while the dough was mild and chewy, so it was seriously delicious together!

They say it is baked with Classicdang’s signature dough, and I could definitely taste the difference. My child ate it so well!

The pizza was so good that I wondered whether we should have ordered two kinds of pizza instead? Haha
The generously portioned Bolognese lasagna

True to its status as a signature menu item, the lasagna came out in a really generous portion! (Lasagna, ₩18,000) It had just come out of the oven, so they were very careful while setting it down in case my child got hurt. An amazing smell rose up, and the Bolognese sauce was incredibly plentiful. There was enough meat that I could clearly see it!

My child, who had been eating pizza, became interested in the lasagna, saying, “Why didn’t you give me pasta?” I gave them a bite, and they kept trying to eat more because it was tasty, so I did not get to eat muchㅠ

That is how well this menu suited my child’s taste too.
