Simkung Piercing Jamsil is a piercing shop inside the Jamsil underground mall. I'd suddenly wanted to get pierced and was looking into it when I ended up having a reason to go to Jamsil. The underground mall there has literally everything! While browsing, this clean, put-together looking shop caught my eye, so I went in.
The variety of piercings looked huge.

There were colorful pieces too, and so many pretty ones that I felt like I could just walk in to browse and end up staying a long while!
Choosing mismatched butterfly piercings, one side in a different design
What I picked at Simkung Piercing Jamsil was three ₩10,000 butterfly-shaped piercings. I thought it might be fun to make the two sides intentionally different, so I bought one in a different design.
I'm already bad at making decisions, and with so many pretty options, I spent forever agonizing.
Does a second earlobe piercing hurt?
The person who pierced my ears at Simkung Piercing Jamsil was super friendly and did the procedure quickly. Of course, I'm a total chicken, so even the earlobe piercing hurt a bit. But well... it can't not hurt at all!
Still, it was over so fast, which I appreciated. Inside I was a little nervous while outside I played it cool... They pierced exactly where I wanted, cleanly, and I was really satisfied.
The necklaces and rings were all pretty too.
From simple to a bit flashy, they have every color range, so it seems perfect for switching up your style whenever. I used to be lazy and just wear one design forever, but this made me want to start rotating them regularly.
There were so many genuinely cute designs. I wanted them all, ugh.
Diagonal and chain piercings, saved for next time
I wanted to get a diagonal piercing too... browsing at Simkung Piercing Jamsil, I realized there was so much I wanted to try. Especially the style with two diagonal holes — I honestly have a bit of a dream about that one. And chain piercings are so tempting too, ugh.
But I'm still a chicken, so I put those off for later. This time I decided to keep it simple: one more hole in each earlobe!
There were plenty of flashy ring styles too, and gold piercings came in many varieties.

Between buying piercings and getting one more hole added to each earlobe at Simkung Piercing Jamsil, it came to just over ₩30,000 — pretty good value. And even though I have somewhat sensitive skin, it seems to be healing fine with no issues. Of course, it varies by person, so caution is still needed.
Anyway, with so many designs ranging from simple to cute to flashy, it was easy to find something matching my taste, and getting to browse ear cuffs, rings, and necklaces alongside the piercings made the whole visit fun.
