Dongjak seafood restaurant sashimi for fireworks: Ttangkkeut Maeul
In short
Ttangkkeut Maeul is a seafood restaurant at Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market in Dongjak, Seoul, offering takeaway sashimi. I took home the 650 g premium sashimi platter for 100,000 won and ate tuna, large flounder, black porgy, sea bream, sea bass, and salmon while watching fireworks from a rooftop. Verdict: a lovely takeaway choice for a special occasion.

Do you all like sashimi? I love it so, so much. So much that I’m even in a group-buying chat for sashimi, haha. I usually get takeaway from Noryangjin, and this time I tried somewhere new instead of my usual regular spot! But it was just as delicious as my regular place~

Taking away sashimi from Ttangkkeut Maeul at Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market
As soon as I entered Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market, there were rows and rows of fish tanks—it really felt like Noryangjin. And among them, the place we got our takeaway from that day was Ttangkkeut Maeul (땅끝마을), a great sashimi spot at Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market!

Ttangkkeut Maeul, a great sashimi spot at Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market, is at live fish stalls 42 and 43 on the first floor. I looked at the tanks in front of the shop and watched other customers picking up takeaway orders, and it was clearly a popular place with a constant stream of visitors!!

What came in the 650 g premium sashimi platter and its price
There were so many fish that are in season right now, including croaker, gizzard shad, and herring, but we went with this one~~!!
- Premium sashimi, medium (2–3 people), 650 g / ₩100,000
- Black porgy
- Large flounder
- Red sea bream
- Sea bass
- Salmon
- Bluefin tuna
Rather than having just one kind of sashimi, I think a mixed sashimi platter like this, with several varieties, is great for sharing among a group.

A platter piled high with mixed sashimi
🐟 Ttangkkeut Maeul’s 650 g medium premium sashimi platter. When I opened the sashimi we had taken away from Ttangkkeut Maeul at Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market, the platter was way more generous than I expected!!

Each kind of sashimi had its own color, so spread out on one platter, it looked incredibly appetizing too. There was such a variety, from white fish and red fish to salmon, so it was fun choosing a piece at a time.

Sashimi with a fireworks festival
🎇 Eating it on a rooftop while watching a fireworks festival that day was wildly romantic, right? When you’re going to see fireworks, everyone, come get sashimi from this great Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market spot and eat up,,

When you keep eating only one kind of sashimi, you can get a little tired of it, but because this had so many varieties, I kept reaching for more even without drinks or side dishes.

The texture of tuna and white fish
The tuna was what caught my eye first as soon as I opened it,, They gave us such a seriously good cut too, right,,?

It was thawed perfectly, with a texture that melted in my mouth right away and a wonderfully rich flavor.

I absolutely, absolutely love white fish, you know? The texture was great and the thickness was exactly my style,, The large flounder fin, especially, was so much thicker than regular small flounder and wonderfully chewy and nutty. So delicious..

And the orange-hued salmon that everyone loves was soft and nutty too,,

Then there was sea bream and even black porgy, which isn’t something you get to eat easily—such a perfect selection.. I think sashimi is the kind of food that really sets the mood when you take it away for a special day like this.

Order takeaway ahead on busy days
This time, I took away Ttangkkeut Maeul’s 650 g medium premium sashimi platter from Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market and ate it while watching the fireworks festival. I loved getting to try such a variety of sashimi, and above all, I loved being able to take it away for a special occasion and eat it comfortably wherever I wanted.
On a day when crowds pour in, like during a fireworks festival, I think getting sashimi packed up in advance is quite a nice option instead of going around looking for a restaurant. With delicious sashimi, chilled drinks, and fireworks to watch, that evening was a total success! 🎆🍣 If I need sashimi takeaway in Noryangjin next time, I’d like to try another menu too.
