This time, I visited Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch, newly opened on Na Hye-seok Street in Ingye-dong, Suwon~ I thought it could help anyone looking for a good meat restaurant in Ingye-dong, so here goes my honest review!
Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch is at 101, 1F, 27 Gwongwang-ro 196beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea (경기도 수원시 팔달구 권광로196번길 27 1층 101호). It is open daily from 11:30 AM until 1:00 AM the following day, and serves a separate baekban (Korean set meal) from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays. Naver reservations are available, and parking costs ₩1,500 for the first 60 minutes, then ₩500 per additional 10 minutes, up to ₩4,000. Its highlights include straw-fire pre-searing, grilling service, free corkage, birthday events, and a variety of pesto sauces.

The spacious, comfortable atmosphere at Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch

Maybe because it had just opened as a restaurant on Na Hye-seok Street in Ingye-dong, the exterior already looked very neat. Once inside, it felt much larger and more comfortable than I expected. There was plenty of space between tables too, so it looked like a nice option for company dinners in Ingye-dong.

It was easy to order from the tablet,

and there was a self-service bar, so we could pick up more ssam vegetables for wrapping if we needed them.

The wood-toned interior suited the name Jipbul Taebaek really well. Since it stays open late, it felt like an easy place not only for dinner but also for a drink.
Ordering beef ribs and Korean beef cheonggukjang stew

I ordered their signature beef ribs and Korean beef cheonggukjang stew.
The beef ribs are made from carefully selected, especially flavorful cuts of beef rib, pre-seared over straw fire. The staff trimmed and grilled the meat right at the table, which was so convenient. It was an easy, relaxed way to enjoy a date in Ingye-dong too.
Straw-fire-scented beef ribs with a range of sauces
The flavor was better than I expected. I especially liked that the meat was trimmed for us, making it easy to eat.
The beef ribs had a subtle straw-fire aroma, giving them a flavor different from regular charcoal-grilled meat.
The sauces served with the meat were impressive too: black sesame salt, seed soy sauce yukjang sauce, angelica pesto, and neungi mushroom pesto.

Changing the sauce made the same meat feel different every time.
I personally love japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), and the japchae here was seriously delicious!!
The Korean beef cheonggukjang stew had a rich, savory broth that was perfect with the meat.

There were so many side dishes, and every single one was tasty. It is hard to find a place with lots of delicious sides, but everything here was good ㅠㅠ
As you would expect from a good meat restaurant in Ingye-dong, it was clear they put a lot of care into the accompaniments too. There was a wide selection of drinks, including wine and highballs, which looked great with the meat. The free corkage is also worth keeping in mind.
A photo spot with beef ribs and wood-toned décor
When the beef ribs arrived, they looked impressive enough to make a great photo.

The wood-finished interior was not bad as a photo backdrop either. Watching the staff trim and grill the meat also made for a naturally photogenic moment.
An indoor meat restaurant to enjoy in any season
Because the meat is pre-seared over straw fire, it seemed like a menu where you could enjoy that deep flavor regardless of the season. The restaurant was also spacious and kept comfortably, so I think it would be easy to visit even in hot summer weather.

When the weather turns cooler, an indoor meat restaurant like this would probably feel more comfortable than sitting outside.
My overall take on Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch
Overall, it was a great visit, from the beef ribs deeply infused with straw-fire aroma to the rich Korean beef cheonggukjang stew. Thanks to the service of trimming and grilling everything for us, we could eat comfortably, and the side-dish spread was satisfying too. It had been so long since I found a place where every side dish was delicious, so I loved that haha.
If you are looking for a good meat restaurant, company-dinner spot, or Na Hye-seok Street restaurant in Ingye-dong, it could be worth visiting at least once. Keep it in mind as a Suwon Ingye-dong restaurant, and I think anyone curious about straw-fire grilling in Ingye-dong would enjoy it too!
