Mapo Korean BBQ date with staff grilling: Eutteum Aged Hanwoo No.9

It had been a while since my husband and I had gone on a Hapjeong Station date to eat something delicious somewhere with a lovely atmosphere :) We both really love beef, and I happened to find a place with such great quality, so we had a very happy visit 😉🙌🏻

A hanwoo restaurant directly connected to Hapjeong Station

📌 It is on the first floor of the shopping arcade directly connected to Exit 8 of Hapjeong Station, so the access is truly excellent〰️ Since it connects straight to the station, it is perfect for a date without a car, and the arcade’s dedicated parking is pleasantly spacious, making it super convenient if you drive too!

A fresh atmosphere that does not feel like a barbecue restaurant

The moment I opened the door and stepped inside, I felt as if I had come to a pretty, atmospheric café rather than a barbecue restaurant 🫢 There was not even a hint of smoky grilling fumes or greasy smells, and the entire space was kept so fresh and clean!!

Choosing the 600g Hanwoo Special Set

There were so many options, which made choosing so much fun, haha 👩🏻❤️👨🏻 After much deliberation, my husband and I chose the Hanwoo Special Set (600g), which lets you properly experience this place’s charm~

First, they brought side dishes that pair beautifully with meat, along with seasoned cockles: scallion salad, myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic leaves), kimchi, wasabi, fish sauce soy sauce, and salt. The seasoned cockles were nicely salty and so good as a pre-meal bite :) They really woke up our appetites before the main event, haha.

Hanwoo Special Set (600g)

You know 600g is a seriously generous amount for two people, right..? It was one of those days when I wanted to eat all the hanwoo I could, and I was so happy ❤️

The yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and uni combination included in the Hanwoo Special Set was absolutely crazy too ㅠㅠ Piling plenty of it onto fluffy rice… nuttiness + umami + chewiness = delicious!!!!!! It was the best ✨

Hanwoo grilled for you from start to finish

✔️ One of the biggest advantages here is that the staff grill all the meat themselves, from start to finish 🥹 Thanks to that, my husband did not have to wear himself out grilling, and we could focus entirely on each other and our meal 👍🏻

Their meat-grilling skills are an art—it really felt like we had come for a hanwoo omakase.

My husband could not stop moving his chopsticks and kept exclaiming in amazement..!

Sirloin with just a touch of salt

They grilled the sirloin first, and… the moment I bit into the perfectly cooked piece, I was startled by the nutty juices filling my mouth 👏🏻 The meat itself was such outstanding quality that it melted softly in my mouth without a trace of toughness❗️ 🙌🏻 For your first bite, I definitely recommend dipping it in just a little salt, without any other accompaniment, so you can fully taste the meat’s deep aroma!

The distinct appeal of shrimp meat and skirt steak

The shrimp meat was wonderfully tender and had the strongest nutty hanwoo flavor of all!! 👉🏻 It had a charm completely different from the sirloin〰️

The skirt steak was the most delicious cut—I want to give it first place 🫶🏻 It was thin, yet absolutely bursting with beefy tenderness and nuttiness. Such incredible flavorrr ☺️✨

For Hapjeong Station dates and gatherings

It was the perfect time to comfortably enjoy top-quality hanwoo in a fresh, cozy atmosphere that brought to mind an upscale café rather than a barbecue restaurant (I want to go again❗️❗️) Thanks to the thoughtful service of grilling the meat at its very best moment, we truly enjoyed a hanwoo omakase experience 😉
