What are the outdoor-style seats and atmosphere like?

Outdoor-style seats in front of Jeongyukdo

There were outdoor-style seats set up right in front of the restaurant. It was a little warm, so we ate inside, but once it gets cooler, grilling meat outside would be so nice.

When I was leaving, the string lights had come on too, and it looked perfect for enjoying that outdoor-table atmosphere!

Outdoor-table atmosphere with string lights on

It is hard to find a meat restaurant with outdoor-style seating near Hapjeong Station, so this is a good spot to visit for that vibe. There were hangers for outerwear and room-like tables, so it looked good for blind dates, dates, and even group work dinners. I could spot couples on dates at tables all around.

For ₩49,000, this is a generous spread and a good-value meat restaurant.

Charcoal-grill table setting

Individual tray of side dishes

Each person received a neatly arranged tray with side dishes and a small plate, so you can take only as much as you want.

Scallion salad and pickled onions

Instead of ssam vegetables, there was plenty of scallion salad and pickled onions. We used the mini tongs to take what we wanted.

Salt, mustard, and wasabi condiments

Salt, whole-grain mustard, and wasabi were neatly set on the table. Just put as much as you want on your small plate and pair them with the meat however you like.

Pork belly and rib meat on a charcoal grill

Meat really has to be grilled over charcoal rather than a regular griddle, right? Once the fresh meat arrived, we put the pork belly and rib meat on the well-heated grill first. The pork belly was nice and thick~~ They say pork belly with the little cartilage attached is the real deal; it was not overly fatty, just right, and savory with every bite.

Thick charcoal-grilled pork belly

Because it was charcoal-grilled, the fat drained right off, making it light, while the meat took on that delicious charcoal aroma.

Charcoal-smoked pork belly

It was especially clean and tasty with salt, scallion salad, and wasabi.

Since the fresh ribs were slowly cooked over charcoal, they absorbed a subtle smoky aroma without burning, and the texture was tender.

Fresh ribs cooking over charcoal

They were juicy, tender rather than tough, and still had that lovely chew of fresh ribs! Before moving on to the pork neck, we changed the grill and started eating again~~

Juicy fresh ribs

The pork neck had a good balance of fat and thick lean meat, bringing out its savory flavor.

Crisp outside and juicy inside—especially good wrapped with bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles). So good~~

The steamed egg we ordered as a side and the soybean paste stew included in the set were perfect alongside the meat. Steamed egg really is an essential combination~

Steamed egg and soybean paste stew

Since we planned to eat it Korean BBQ-and-noodles style, we did not order a bowl of rice. Still, ordering one and mixing it into the soybean paste stew like sulbap would be good too.

When you go to a meat restaurant, you worry about your clothes smelling afterward, right? Even while we kept grilling, the smoke was pulled away immediately, and no smell lingered on our clothes after the meal. It seems like a good place for work dinners or dates.

Finishing with bibim naengmyeon and hangover ramen

For the finale, we also ordered bibim naengmyeon and hangover ramen to wrap with the meat.

Bibim naengmyeon and hangover ramen

After a round of vinegar and mustard, I wrapped it with the meat and finished a bowl in no time~ The seasoning was bold, so all it needed was meat on top.

Hangover ramen with bean sprouts and dried pollock

Please make sure to finish with the hangover ramen~ It was packed with bean sprouts and dried pollock, making the broth refreshing. The noodles were pleasantly chewy, the portion was generous, and it was perfect for two to share. That refreshing broth is just right for a final hangover cure!
