Gangnam wine bar with ₩10,000 house white by the glass: Luna Vine

My friend and I had dinner and drinks in Sinsa and weren't quite ready to call it a night, so we decided to find somewhere with a good vibe for one more glass of wine! Rather than a loud, crowded bar, we wanted somewhere we could actually talk while having a drink, and heard there was a Gangnam wine bar and restaurant nearby with a great atmosphere, so we checked it out.

Today I'm introducing Luna Vine, a Nonhyeon-dong wine bar that's been running for a whopping 23 years since 2003. They have a wide range of wines, but also plenty of food that pairs well with wine — pizza, pasta, even steak — so it looks like a good spot whether you just want a quick glass or a full first-round dinner.

The atmosphere is especially great — upscale but still relaxed, so it'd work well for a date or blind date too!~!~!~! So here's my write-up of a glass of wine (okay, several glasses) with a friend at Luna Vine, a great-vibe Gangnam wine bar and restaurant.

How to get to Luna Vine: 8 minutes from Hakdong Station, valet ₩3,000

Luna Vine, this Nonhyeon-dong wine bar, is on the 1st floor of the Yejin Building, about an 8-minute walk from Hakdong Station. Parking is available on-site, and valet is offered too (paid: ₩3,000). The valet booth is across the street from the restaurant.

Inside Luna Vine: soft lighting and a table big enough for groups

The first thing I felt walking in was — the atmosphere is really great...! Overall it feels upscale, but not in a stiff, formal way — just comfortable enough to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine.

The lighting is soft too, perfect for setting the mood while sipping wine ♥ Great for catching up with a friend, but honestly the vibe itself would work really well for a date or blind date too.

Further inside, there's a separate group table that seats several people. So it looks good not just for small get-togethers but for group meetups or company dinners too, and since venue rental is available, it'd also work for events or parties!

Once we sat down, they set out cutlery and water for us.

Luna Vine menu: pizza, pasta, steak and house wine at ₩10,000 a glass

I thought Luna Vine was just a place to drink wine, but the food menu was genuinely much more varied than expected. Salad, pizza, pasta, steak, fish dishes, seafood dishes, cheese plates, and simple bar snacks too!

We'd already eaten dinner so we just ordered a salad, but looking at the menu, a lot of the dishes looked surprisingly good. With pizza, pasta, and even steak on offer, next time I might come here first for dinner and drink wine alongside it!

We figured we wouldn't be able to finish a whole bottle of wine (turned out that worry was unnecessary... lol, we probably should've just ordered a bottle), so we ordered one glass of house red and one of house white. At ₩10,000 a glass, it wasn't a big financial commitment to have one or two glasses at a nice wine bar like this.

Beyond what's listed on the menu, there's apparently a wider selection of wines in the wine cellar. Ask staff and they'll guide you through it.

House salad ₩18,000: the right food for a second round

Since we'd already eaten, we ordered just one salad to nibble on lightly. Perfect for picking at while drinking wine, and just right given we were already full!

And now for today's main event — wine ♥ We tried both the house red and house white.

We debated ordering more snacks but figured we'd end up leaving food behind, so we just stuck with the salad!

It came out generous — fresh leafy greens and cherry tomatoes, topped with a light scatter of seeds and cheese. The vegetables were crisp, not wilted at all, and the seeds added a nice nutty flavor and texture that made it really tasty!

The dressing wasn't overly sweet or sharp either, so it didn't overpower the natural taste of the vegetables — clean and light. Paired with wine, it felt like it refreshed my palate between sips, making it the perfect light side.

Luna Vine house wine: why the white beat the red

At first I planned to try both the red and white and then move on to other drinks, but trying the white wine changed everything ^^ lol... the white wine here is genuinely so good ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I usually drink more red wine when I go out, but here white won by a landslide....♥ White wine that's too sweet isn't for me, and neither is one so dry it leaves your mouth feeling chalky — but Luna Vine's house white was right in the middle, not too sweet, not too dry! Clean and easy to drink, it suited my taste perfectly.

I only meant to have one glass, but then it was one more glass, please.......... and then another one, please....... In the end we skipped every other drink and just kept ordering more glasses of white lol lol lol lol

But honestly, what made that night great wasn't just the wine — it was the atmosphere! Sitting under the soft lighting, chatting comfortably with a friend over good wine, that's happiness maxed out..............♥ Next time I want to come earlier in the evening and properly work through the snacks that caught my eye alongside the white wine lol lol. If you're looking for a great-vibe Nonhyeon-dong wine bar, or somewhere good for a date or blind date, I'd definitely recommend giving it a visit!
