Garden-view café in Uijeongbu, autumn terrace and lemonade: Forerest
In short
Forerest is a garden-view forest café on Nogyang-ro in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi, with parking and dogs welcome. On a second visit after a winter trip, an autumn weekend at Forerest meant a packed outdoor terrace and an order of iced americano (5,500 won), lemonade (6,800 won) and matcha and black sesame Basque cheesecakes (8,000 won each). With dense, not-too-sweet Basque cheesecake and a quiet forest view, Forerest is a Uijeongbu café worth returning to every season.

Parking and how to get to Forerest
Forerest is just a short walk up a forest path from the big parking lot. You head up the path from the big parking lot, and after a little while~~

A lovely café with a red brick roof comes into view~ The garden view is so pretty that on a nice day it's really lovely to sit on the outdoor terrace with a drink ^^ And if the entrance parking lot is full, you can also use the lot next to the café that you see here~

The atmosphere at Forerest on an autumn weekend
On an autumn weekend, Forerest was so busy that the outdoor terrace was completely full. Maybe because the weather was good, the terrace was packed~ That lush green forest view is lovely just to look at ^^
🍁 Who knew that as I got older I'd come to love little scenes like this, the atmosphere, the forest, a quiet café… Now that I've written it down.. it's pretty ordinary, haha

🍁 Cozy atmosphere~ even the understated props blend in with their surroundings, Forerest ♡ It's a place you fall for after one visit~

I loved this warm space where the sunlight pours deep inside, so I had to take a photo~

Where to sit at Forerest
Forerest has a quiet inner space, window tables overlooking the garden, and an outdoor terrace, so you can choose to your taste. Maybe because it was the weekend, the indoor tables were busy and the terrace was full too~ I looked around to decide where to sit, then chose the outdoor terrace 🤭

The quiet inner seats with music
If you like a quiet space with music, this is the spot~ You can't see the garden, but a small window gives you a forest view, so it's nice for a drink ^^

Garden-view window tables
The window tables with a full view of the outdoor terrace are always popular~ The garden view from the window is seriously so pretty ^^ There's a variety of tables from two-seaters to large groups~ and since Forerest sits in a quiet location, it's relaxing enough in any season^^

The outdoor terrace: what about bugs?
This time I took an outdoor table~ If you're sensitive to bugs, the indoor tables would be better~ Even so, on a cool autumn day like this the terrace was the popular choice~

Forerest menu and prices
The Forerest menu is made up of five signature Basque cheesecakes, plus tea and coffee. 🌈 The menu has Forerest's signature five kinds of Basque cheesecake, tea and coffee~

The signature dessert, the Basque cheesecake, isn't too sweet and has a dense heaviness that goes well with tea~

🍄 Here's what I ordered this time.
- Iced americano ₩5,500
- Lemonade ₩6,800
- Matcha Basque cheesecake ₩8,000
- Black sesame Basque cheesecake ₩8,000

How does the Basque cheesecake at Forerest taste?
The Basque cheesecake at Forerest isn't too sweet and is dense, so it goes especially well with coffee. The cheesecake, which they say they make themselves and age in the fridge, isn't dry but is rich and heavy.. and you still get a strong, soft cheese flavor~

They make the Basque themselves~ and since it's aged 16 hours in the fridge, it's moist with a pleasant level of sweetness~ If you like cheesecake, it'll probably suit you, but if you like fluffy bakery items, just order a drink ^^

I was curious about the chocolate one, but I went with matcha, as always~ The matcha Basque cheesecake has a lightly burnt top, so it's full of flavor.

Forerest weekend time limit and night atmosphere
They say the time limit at Forerest is 2 hours on busy weekends. 🍂 Sitting in such a quiet forest view, you lose any desire to get up, but keep it in mind if you go on a weekend~

🍭 Forerest is open from 11 a.m. to midnight, so it's great for anyone who needs a late café visit~~

With the lights on in the forest, Forerest looks even prettier ♡ I recommend it if you're looking for a nature-view café near Seoul ^^
