Daejisikdang is a Cheoin-gu meat restaurant I always trust, and this time I visited the Mohyeon branch. Daejisikdang's Berkshire K pork is already well known around here, so I had no doubts about the taste. This time I visited Daejisikdang Mohyeon, a Korean BBQ spot near Yongin Lakeside CC.
The pinnacle of fine dining, made from Jirisan purebred black pig 'Berkshire K' and 6 hours of wood-fired smoking

The self-serve banchan bar and 6-hour wood-fired smoked BBQ
Toward the back of the hall at Daejisikdang Mohyeon there's a self-serve bar area with various utensils, side plates, cups, and vegetables, plus a range of banchan (side dishes) you can grab comfortably without any hassle. And there's the wood-fired oven that is Daejisikdang's signature — 6 hours of wood-fired smoking produces delicious meat.
Six hours of waiting: wood-fired BBQ — the carefully grilled whole-rack BBQ is so tender you could eat it with just your gums, with deep smoky aroma. This is Daejisikdang Mohyeon's own special wood-fired BBQ.

Each table has a tablet, so it's easy to check the menu, place orders, and review order history. Charcoal and a thick grill plate were set up quickly. Daejisikdang Mohyeon's Korean BBQ near Lakeside CC — I was excited.

There's a guide about Daejisikdang Mohyeon's purebred black pork Berkshire K. It also explains how to enjoy it best, so I recommend reading it before eating! A Cheoin-gu meat restaurant you can enjoy even more with that.
A variety of banchan were served. Every single side dish was neat and the vegetables were fresh, and the owner and staff were all so kind and welcoming that I felt good the whole meal.
Salted anchovy sauce (myeoljeot). It went on the grill too — an essential pairing for a savory bite.
The self-serve bar has various vegetables, ssamjang (dipping sauce), utensils, and side plates well stocked, so you can use them freely and take as much as you want, which makes things even more convenient. The staff were so kind, asking if we needed anything, and even grilled the meat for us themselves while explaining things well. New on the menu: Berkshire K old-style pork belly, 160g for 17,000 won
This time we ordered Daejisikdang Mohyeon's Berkshire K old-style pork belly 160g, three servings. At ₩17,000 per serving, it's a brand-new menu item, so I decided to try it.
I'd had the thick-cut Berkshire K pork belly a few times before, so this time was a new challenge haha. The vividly colored, fresh Berkshire K old-style pork belly was served looking delicious. Truly a Korean BBQ spot near Yongin Lakeside CC.

Even at three servings, the portion was quite generous. The thickness was cut just right for eating, so it seemed even more delicious to come... a Cheoin-gu meat restaurant to look forward to.
Using only the country's sole purebred black pig, Berkshire K, top 0.1% premium raw meat, with overwhelming meaty aroma and a chewy yet tender texture — this is Daejisikdang Mohyeon, a Korean BBQ spot near Yongin Lakeside CC, and a Cheoin-gu meat restaurant.
What does the charcoal-grilled old-style pork belly taste like?
The combination of charcoal heat and a thick grill plate makes the Berkshire K native pure pork belly taste even better. The thickness is just right, so it cooks through quickly.

Golden brown and delicious just to look at. They grilled the mushrooms served alongside it too. This seems to be why the Korean BBQ near Yongin Lakeside CC is so popular ~
Since it's near home, we had a soju with a friend. Guests kept coming in. Daejisikdang is already quite well known around here, so reservations fill up, and especially on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays it's so popular there's barely a seat left.

Piece by piece, they cut it into bite-sized pieces. The meat is tender and just the right thickness, making it look even more delicious — a Cheoin-gu meat restaurant I'd recommend.
The color of the meat... haha, it's just so good. The juices are rich, and it's savory yet very tender.
Grilling myeoljeot, baek-kimchi (white kimchi), and gosari (bracken fern) together with the pure native Berkshire K pork belly makes the flavor even more impressive. This is probably why people always insist on Daejisikdang.

Grilled savory and delicious. The myeoljeot pairs nicely with the garlic and chili.
Wrapped up with gosari, lettuce, wasabi, and more in one bite along with a shot of soju, and the day's fatigue melts away. A flavor that makes you feel healthier.

Just looking at it makes the table feel abundant — a delicious visual. In reality, the pure native Berkshire K pork belly tastes even better. You can really feel the juices bursting.

Try combining perilla leaves, lettuce, chili, garlic, wasabi, and baek-kimchi in different ways, and the flavor becomes even richer.

Grilling the baek-kimchi lightly on the plate and having it with ssamjang gives it a really nice texture.

Finishing with Daejisikdang Mohyeon's kimchi jjigae
After finishing the meat, we ordered Daejisikdang Mohyeon's kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew). Daejisikdang's own kimchi jjigae is special. I always order it to finish. I ordered it trusting it would be good, and it lived up to the trust — packed with meat, packed with tofu, spicy and rich, a delicious kimchi jjigae.

The tofu is mild and has a good texture, pairing well with the kimchi jjigae. Loaded with meat too, and matched with well-aged kimchi — truly a matched pair of a restaurant.
