A café stop after shopping at Songhyeona: Wunder Coffee Bar

Wunder Coffee Bar (분더커피바) is a coffee and ice cream café in the B1 food court of the Songdo Hyundai Outlet (nicknamed Songhyeona). After shopping at the outlet, I always crave something cold, ice cream or coffee. When I want a cold drink, the place that pops into my head is Wunder Coffee Bar~~

After wandering around for ages, my legs get tired and I really want a drink. Sitting down comfortably with a cup of coffee is the best part, right~~~ There are also lots of pop-up stands around the food court, so grabbing a snack and eating it with a Wunder drink is great too.

Since it sits in the B1 food court, it's crowded every time I visit. You can get coffee, but also a smooth, fragrant hojicha (roasted green tea) ice cream latte, so there's plenty to choose from. A sugar recharge to lift your mood, perfect~~~

Wunder Coffee Bar discount event and hygiene grade

At the time of writing, there was a 10% discount event at Wunder Coffee Bar until October 18 if you show a same-day receipt from the Songhyeona food court. Eat, enjoy coffee and get a discount, two birds with one stone! Wunder Coffee Bar also has an "excellent" hygiene grade, haha. When you're enjoying a drink, hygiene matters as much as taste, so it's reassuring.

Wunder Coffee Bar sells two-drink set menus, so ordering a set gets you a discounted price. Order a Wunder Gato + Americano set and you get ₩500 off.

I wanted both hojicha and vanilla, so I went straight for the twist mix.

Wunder Coffee Bar's decaf beans: Maron

The shop had signs explaining the two kinds of beans they sell. The decaf bean I ordered is Maron, an Americano with lovely roasted chestnut and roasted sweet potato notes! It's a bean I like anyway, so it tastes good every time.

After you pay, they hand you a vibrating buzzer, and when it rings you go pick up your drinks. I took the buzzer, sat down in the food court, and the order came out right away~~

How does the hojicha-vanilla mix ice cream latte taste?

An ice cream latte and iced Americano that look cool and delicious just by looking at them. The amount of ice cream is more generous than I expected, which I liked. Lots of people at Wunder Coffee Bar were ordering just the ice cream too!

The ice cream latte looks so pretty haha. They pour espresso over the ice cream, so you get bittersweet coffee and sweet, smooth ice cream together, and meeting the nutty hojicha ice cream makes the combination really appealing.

Because it's a twist mix, you get both vanilla and hojicha ice cream, which is great. The vanilla is that familiar taste you already know, and the hojicha has a nutty richness that really goes well with coffee. The latte is very strong, so if you eat the ice cream with a spoon and let it melt in, it turns into a lightly sweet latte, and with the hojicha mixed in the nutty flavor comes through nicely. Loved it!

What does the Maron decaf Americano taste like?

Wunder Coffee Bar's Maron decaf Americano has low acidity, a nutty taste and a sweet roasted-sweet-potato aroma. Take a first sip and you get the nutty flavor along with a real roasted sweet potato taste. With that sweet, toasty aroma, I thought anyone who doesn't like acidity would enjoy this coffee. Best of all, the aftertaste is really clean, so it's great with dessert too.
