Hapjeong evening café with a lit garden and TWG chamomile tea: Petrico

Today I'm bringing you a review of Petrico, a café near Hapjeong Station haha. It's famous for its really tasty soufflé, and it's also such a great space to quietly bring a book or laptop and get some work done >_< I'd also recommend it as a weekend date course haha. Let me get right into the Petrico review ✨

Petrico from outside: the garden lights come on in the evening

Exterior Petrico is gorgeous from the outside >_< We went in the evening and the front garden had lights on, so it looked really atmospheric haha.

What's on the Petrico menu, starting with the soufflé

Petrico's dessert menu had granita, soufflé, tart, and terrine, plus a good variety of drinks, teas, and coffee. Since we came here specifically because it's known for soufflé, we ordered the soufflé !!

We ordered a caffè latte, chamomile tea, and the fruit soufflé

Fruit soufflé with seasonal fruit and caramel syrup

Petrico's fruit soufflé came as two pieces, served with whipped cream, orange, blueberry, and banana brûlée. They use seasonal fruit that changes, so every time it switches to something new I want to try it again !! It also comes with caramel syrup.

Personally I preferred dipping the fruit in whipped cream instead of the caramel syrup, but my boyfriend said the fruit with caramel syrup drizzled on was delicious !

TWG iced chamomile tea and the iced caffè latte

We ordered the latte and chamomile tea both iced haha. Petrico uses TWG tea, so I picked a tea ! They also give you a little dish to set the tea bag on.

If you want to sleep well at night, caffeine-free chamomile is the best,, the aroma was strong and lovely haha.

Caffè latte The coffee was nutty with no acidity and really tasty >_< generous portion too, with a strong coffee aroma ~ loved it haha.

Inside Petrico: seating for laptop work and for dates

Interior Petrico has a long table in the back plus tables ranging from 2- to 4-person, so the space felt wide with plenty of seats. There are cushions, blankets, and even a mirror, so it's great for taking photos too >_<

I loved the completely warm color tones >_< the photos came out so well I got some life shots too. If you're looking for a café near Hapjeong Station in Seoul, or a café in Mapo-gu, Seoul, I recommend Petrico 🤍
