Yeouido Japanese pub for a parents’ dinner: Nani Yeouido Branch

I took my parents to Nani Yeouido Branch, a well-known spot for company dinners in Yeouido!

A lovely spot for dates or drinking alone, a quiet and relaxed blind-date setting, and dishes made by a specialist chef with 15 years of experience.

Private tables and a full-window view

You’ll see it right away when you come up to the third floor of the S-TRENUE Building. There were lots of these room-like seats, so it was great for enjoying a private meal haha.

I really loved how the tables were separated from each other hahaha.

The ceiling is high, and the lighting is pretty too, right?

You can see they put thought into the interior too. It gave off a real izakaya feel, and the atmosphere was lovely haha.

We made a reservation, and the owner gave us a seat like this!

Korea Investment & Securities and the Teachers’ Pension building were visible through the full-height windows, so the view was fantastic and the space felt so open ❤️

Ordering lamb shoulder rack and perilla oil octopus pasta

The recommended dishes included assorted sashimi and lamb shoulder rack. Lamb shoulder rack seemed to be Nani’s signature dish, so we decided to order it haha.

• Perilla oil octopus pasta (₩26,000)

How spicy is the perilla oil octopus pasta?

The perilla oil octopus pasta felt closer to bibim noodles than pasta hahaha. But the octopus was fresh and pleasantly chewy, and it went so well with the nutty perilla oil?! Despite its bright-red appearance, it wasn’t very spicy haha.

If you want a refreshing bar snack that isn’t heavy, I recommend this one!

Tender lamb shoulder rack with no gamey smell

Nani’s lamb shoulder rack comes from the shoulder of Australian lamb under 10 months old! They say it’s a particularly juicy cut ❤️ The presentation is incredible, right,,,,ㅠㅠ As in the photo, it comes with two sauces: lamb skewer sauce and basil sauce.

Oh wow, I’m drooling hahaha. Juice dripped out every time we cut it with the scissors.

I tried dipping it in the lamb skewer sauce. The lamb itself was already well seasoned, so even sauce-lover me thought it was best eaten plain ❤️ Its natural flavor was already perfect hahaha.

My parents kept marveling at how delicious the lamb was too haha. Also, my mom usually dislikes the gamey smell of lamb, but she loved that there was absolutely none here 🥰 If you visit, you really, really have to try the lamb shoulder rack!

Review-event yogurt ice cream

The service was so good—they gave us one yogurt ice cream for each review!! My brother and I each left one, so we received two ice creams in total haha.

This was what it looked like, and it was much bigger in person than in the photo hahaha. There were four of us, and I thought even one would have been enough haha.

It tasted exactly like Yoajung yogurt ice cream,,, and it was so delicious hahaha. It totally cut through the richness of the lamb.

Final thoughts on a Yeouido izakaya dinner with my parents

• Just one minute from Yeouido Station, so it is easy to get to and perfect for company dinners too!
• The separated, room-like tables make it a recommendation for quiet occasions such as blind dates or family gatherings. My parents were very happy too.
• The lamb shoulder rack was full of juice, tender, and free of any gamey smell—highly recommended ❤️
• The perilla oil octopus pasta was nutty yet refreshing, and it paired well with the lamb.
• The generous review-event yogurt ice cream was a perfect finish too haha.

Overall, I was satisfied with everything—the atmosphere, the food, and the privacy—so I recommend it if you’re looking for a place in Yeouido for a company dinner, date, or family meal 🥰
