Goyang bakery café, watermelon juice and kaya salt bread: Pine Terrace
In short
Pine Terrace is a large two-floor bakery café on Hoguk-ro 1245beon-gil in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. On a hot day I sat by the second-floor windows with a fresh watermelon juice, an iced americano and a kaya jam butter salt bread; the salt bread wasn't chewy, and the kaya jam and butter melted softly, so I regretted ordering only one. With a big free parking lot and a cool interior, Pine Terrace is a good Goyang café for a summer break.

I brought you a post about Pine Terrace (파인테라스), a bakery café in Goyang! It's a big café that sells bakery items and desserts!

The vibe at Pine Terrace: a big café with windows on floors 1 and 2
Pine Terrace has a nice view and is spacious, which makes it a good place to rest. The parking lot is big, so it's easy to come by car. The whole building, floors 1 and 2, is the café, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel open. Above all, it was nice and cool inside, haha.

Parking lot
Big parking lot, right? This is the parking area at the front of the shop, and if you drive around to the back there's more space, so there's plenty, haha.

First floor
This is the first floor of Pine Terrace. It has the counter, the bakery and dessert cases, a pickup counter and tables, and

Second floor
The second floor, where I sat, is all tables too, with a bar table where you can look outside, and there's a separate outdoor area as well. If you like roomy spaces, I recommend the second floor, haha. Both floors have full windows, so the view outside is a plus!

Pine Terrace drink menu: watermelon juice in summer
Here are the drinks at Pine Terrace. I'm an americano person no matter what, but it's so hot lately and it's watermelon season, so I keep ending up with watermelon juice. Besides the watermelon juice I picked, there are plenty of other healthy juices: tomato juice, orange carrot juice, green grape kale juice, kiwi juice, homemade strawberry latte and more. They also have bingsu (shaved ice dessert): snowflake injeolmi red bean bingsu!!

Bakery menu and prices: salt bread from ₩4,000
This is the bakery case! The bread at Pine Terrace is baked by the in-house baker, so you can get it freshly baked. The case is also very hygienic: you press a button and the door opens and closes! There was some talk a while back about how bread gets displayed, but that can't happen at Pine Terrace, haha.

Check the photos above for the bakery lineup and prices! Plain salt bread starts at ₩4,000, and they also sell whole wheat bread, white bread and baguettes, and the case is full of tasty-looking bagels, soft rolls, sausage bread and more. The ones that caught my eye were the pollock roe salt bread, the potato sausage bread and the red bean butter pastry (angbeoteo), haha.
Dessert menu: melon fresh cream cake that day
The dessert lineup was just as big as the bakery one, and the fresh fruit whipped cream cake was a real eye-grabber. The day I visited it was a melon cake, haha. They also have cookie choux, tiramisu, chestnut yangaeng (sweet bean jelly), cheesecake, wakppu salt bread, macarons, sandwiches, bagel sandwiches and more!

What I ordered: watermelon juice, iced americano, kaya jam butter salt bread
Ta-da~ here's what I ordered! Fresh watermelon juice, an iced americano and a kaya jam butter salt bread, lol. A few other breads caught my eye, but in the end it was salt bread. The salt breads come in butter, kaya jam, pollock roe, truffle and more. I wasn't very hungry... the heat killed my appetite.

I think it had been a while since I'd had salt bread at all, and it was so good! Not chewy in the least, with the kaya jam and butter melting softly. I only ordered one and wished I'd gotten more. I ate well and had a nice cool rest, haha.
My honest review of Pine Terrace
When it's this hot, crowded places just don't appeal to me. Is it only me? T_T Still, it's cooler indoors than outside, so I end up heading out to the outskirts, haha. If you're visiting Goyang, I recommend spending some time at Pine Terrace with a cool, tasty dessert.

With this many kinds of salt bread, and tasty ones too, I think you should order at least one. The fresh fruit whipped cream cake also seems pretty famous. Next time I visit, I'm planning to try the cake, haha.
