Kaymak melon and tequila highballs at Mixed Table, Sinnonhyeon bar

After getting my nails done in Sinnonhyeon, going straight home felt like a waste, but I also didn't want anywhere too loud and crowded.

So I ended up at Mixed Table, which I found completely by accident 🍸

The moment you head down to the basement, the mood shifts completely — dim lighting, pretty video projections, and candles lit on every table!

This is genuinely the kind of place that would nail the vibe for a Sinnonhyeon date or a blind date haha.

Down the stairs: the basement room at Mixed Table

Mixed Table is on the basement level of a building on Gangnam-daero 122-gil. At first I just assumed it was your average moody bar, but going down the stairs revealed a completely different world!

Video kept playing on a loop and the lighting was beautifully done, so the slightly dark, cozy feel was just so good ✨

Every table has its own candle lit, and it really does elevate the mood haha.

I went right after opening, so there were barely any other guests, and I could just quietly sit and listen to the music. The music was so good that simply sitting there was enough to reset my mood 💿

I also spotted equipment that looked like DJ gear — anyone who loves music would probably enjoy it even more.

The drink list: highballs, wine and cocktails

Mixed Table genuinely had a huge variety of drinks.

Highballs, cocktails, whiskey, wine, champagne, beer, non-alcoholic cocktails — plus premium tequila and all kinds of other liquor on hand.

What caught my eye that day was the Turkish-related menu 🇹🇷 The staff member was actually Turkish, and I found out some of the menu items are made by the owner's Turkish friend — as someone who went to Turkey for my honeymoon, that made me extra happy haha.

The menu had truffle fries, jamón, kaymak ekmek (Turkish clotted cream with bread), haxe (pork knuckle), cheese ham, and plenty of other dishes that pair well with drinks.

I wanted something light that day, so I ordered the kaymak melon!

It had honestly been a while since I'd had kaymak (Turkish clotted cream), so my anticipation shot up the second it arrived lol. When I asked, they confirmed the kaymak is made by the owner's Turkish friend.

The kaymak had that perfect soft-yet-slightly-thick texture, generously topped with honey 🍯

Add sweet melon and cheese into the mix, and the combination worked way better than I expected — the cool sweetness of the melon, the rich creaminess of the kaymak, and the sweetness of the honey all together...

One bite in and I was internally cheering lol 😆

If you're looking for kaymak in Sinnonhyeon, I really think you should try this. It's light enough as a snack and would pair nicely with cocktails or wine too.

Karadeniz, a tequila highball with a Turkish accent

While deciding what to drink, I ordered the 'Karadeniz,' which means 'Black Sea' in Turkish.

True to the name, the color was a bit dark, and I was curious since they described it as a refreshing tequila highball 🍹 I asked for it a bit strong, and even though it clearly had some kick, it was still delicious.

You're supposed to stir up the layer settled at the bottom of the glass, and once mixed, it had a refreshing yet sweet-and-bitter taste.

What stood out most was that the alcohol scent wasn't overpowering at all, so it went down way too easily lol. It was so good I finished it in no time 😇

Rainbow Aperol, the drink that finished the night

I make Aperol at home often enough that I love it, so when I spotted Rainbow Aperol on the menu, I ordered it right away!

I was curious how it was made, so I peeked over while they prepared it — they carefully lined sprinkles around the rim before mixing the cocktail. The visual alone was gorgeous 🌈🍹

The color was pretty and it was bright and sweet, easy to drink. Though when pairing it with something sweet like the kaymak melon, I'd recommend asking for your drink a bit strong, like I did haha.

Both the snack and the cocktail were sweet, so I did think it would've been nice to have something a bit more bitter to balance it out!

Is Mixed Table right for a blind date or a solo drink?

Mixed Table seems especially well-suited for anyone looking for a place with a great atmosphere in Sinnonhyeon.

It's great for occasions where mood matters, like blind dates or dates, and it also looked like a solid pick for parties or gatherings with friends in Sinnonhyeon.

And if you visit during quieter hours, it seems totally fine to sit alone, listen to music, and sip a cocktail without feeling out of place.

Since I got to enjoy this like my own little me-time that day, I left feeling properly refreshed ☺️ It made me want to come back with my husband for a date next time haha.
