Sinnonhyeon cocktail bar in Seoul, quiet enough to talk: Mixed Table

A foreign friend visiting Korea after a long time wanted a drink, so I racked my brain over where to take her and ended up at Mixed Table! I picked it after carefully going through reviews and photos, and my friend loved it — honestly more than I expected too. The atmosphere, the snacks, and the cocktails were all genuinely amazing. Here's my review of Mixed Table, a Sinnonhyeon bar 🍸

How to get to Mixed Table, and its opening hours

📍 Location

It's a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 5, so it's easy to get to by subway. There are lots of good restaurants and bars nearby, so it's great as either a first stop for dinner or a second-round spot, and it works fine as a date course too. We came here as our second round after eating 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

You go down half a floor from here to the basement. The bathroom is private and very clean, which I appreciated (personally, bathrooms matter a lot to me).

What is the atmosphere inside Mixed Table like?

Interior

Inside, the lighting is soft and the whole vibe is hip. The music is chill too (not loud, easy to talk over — I really dislike places that blast music so loud you can't have a conversation). My foreign friend loved the atmosphere the moment she walked in!

Hehe 😎😎😎😎😎😎 I picked well >_< See, Korea is this good. It looked like they even do live DJ sets at night, which felt different from a typical bar in a good way 🎧

Chairs matter a lot to me, and all the seats here had cushioning, which was really comfortable. Hard chairs give me a sore butt ㅠㅡㅠ

Kaymak (clotted cream) & ekmek (bread). Wow... genuinely delicious, the best 👍🏻 The bread was moist and soft — everyone, you absolutely must try this, please! Highly recommend! The torched part was also so tasty 🥖🥖🥖

Slightly crisp outside, soft inside — the bread alone was nutty and tasty. Loading kaymak on top makes it even better. I want to eat it again... I've had kaymak in Turkey too, and this place's version is pretty good?! The bread was even better than what I had in Europe (this is day 2 since coming back from Europe).

The combo is insane. I wanted to take it home. ⭐️Seriously, you must try this⭐️

The cocktails we ordered

First, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It has a bit of a milk tea vibe along with cinnamon flavor — personally my favorite. If you like milk tea, you can't not love this.

Berry Berry Gin & Tonic. Maybe because I already love gin & tonic, but this was delicious too. Sweet gin & tonic with tons of berry aroma — a flavor everyone would like.

Sparkling Pear. Sweet pear aroma with a refreshing sparkle. This was also so good, what is this?! Everything's delicious! Genuinely tasty, for real 👍🏻👍🏻

They had cute cat-themed goods, so I decorated my glasses case with them lol. My boring glasses case came to life 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ There are photo zones scattered around too. A photo zone packed with such good vibes — impossible not to take pictures, hehehe 📸

Is Mixed Table worth a second round? Final verdict

A hip Sinnonhyeon bar where every cocktail was delicious: Mixed Table!

My foreign friend loved it, and I was super satisfied too. Highly recommend for a date or a nice drink with friends! The kaymak and bread were so good that I'd return 100% 👍🏻 Next time I want to try other cocktails and some wine too 🍷
