Peer a Peer is a large café in Jinrye, Gimhae, where you can enjoy bakery treats and drinks while taking in exhibitions. The space was wonderful, and every bread and drink we tried was delicious, so we had such a lovely visit.
Peer a Peer exterior and parking

Peer a Peer is a huge, 2,000-pyeong café that revived a 40-year-old factory, bringing coffee, bakery treats, exhibitions, and performances together in one space.

Go in through this black door.
As you would expect from a large café, the parking lot is spacious enough for around 100 cars, so there is no need to worry about parking. You can also visit by public transport, and Gimhae Outlet is only a 15-minute drive away, so it would be perfect before or after shopping.
The outdoor area would be especially nice in the cooler autumn weather. ✔️ Dogs are allowed outdoors. It also looks like a lovely spot to take photos with the reeds.
A gallery-like café interior
The interior had a vintage yet stylish feel. It also felt a little like a gallery exhibition space.
Drinks and bakery menu

The best drinks are the Kkosup Cream Latte and Autumn Chestnut Latte. There are coffee and hand-drip coffee options, lattes, smoothies, tea and fruit juice, and ades.

True to a bakery café, there were so many tempting bakery items that it was hard to choose. Their signature bakery item is ciabatta 👐🏻 We picked the items we happened to be craving when we visited.

There was a wide variety of cakes, too. They looked so pretty that I could not possibly skip them.

You can receive a muffin by taking part in the Naver receipt-review event, so it is worth joining in.

They say they use premium beans supplied by a well-known roastery in Busan. There is also a filter coffee lineup. Just watching filter coffee being brewed is a treat for the eyes, isn't it? I think the filter coffee names are so cute.

The café says that the essence of a space is staying in it, and it aims to be a place where you can have a good experience while you stay.

The large communal seating you see on entering lets you enjoy the artwork displayed in the middle, too.

Every area had such a sensibly designed atmosphere that it was hard to decide where to sit. As befits a large café, there were many kinds of seats, and the soft sofa seats were so popular that they were all taken.
Further inside, I was surprised to find a small library. You simply put books back where they belong after reading them, and it looked like a wonderful place to read while having a drink.
This area had a quieter atmosphere than the bakery section. There were also people visiting alone to read or work on their laptops.

It seemed that the exhibition pieces change periodically. <Ways of Seeing> is said to be an exhibition not about “what you see,” but “how you look.”

At the large communal table where we sat, there was a huge mirror by the seats in front, making it great for photos.
What we ordered and how it tasted

We ordered an Americano (₩5,500), honey almond banana juice (₩6,000), mentaiko salt bread (₩4,800), and Matilda cake (₩7,500).

Honey almond banana juice
It brings together sweetness and nuttiness. The banana and honey give it sweetness first, then the nutty almond flavor comes through, so I think it would be a drink children would enjoy.

Mentaiko salt bread and Matilda cake
I was so busy eating the mentaiko salt bread that I did not take a proper photo, but it was generously filled with mentaiko (seasoned pollock roe) and wonderfully savory.
The Matilda cake is where cherry meets chocolate.

The not-too-sweet chocolate cake, with sweet-tart cherries popping up in each bite, was the highlight. It went incredibly well with the Americano.

Americano

We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere along with the nutty Americano and had a great time.
