Busan Chinese restaurant with curtained group tables: Jangchunhyang
In short
Jangchunhyang is a second-floor Chinese restaurant in the Chinatown area 1–2 minutes from Exit 1 of Busan Station. The meal at Jangchunhyang covered beef brisket jjamppong (spicy noodle soup, 12,000 won), japchae-bap (glass noodles with rice, 10,000 won) and jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) at a reopening-event price of 4,900 won, and all three came in big portions, with the nutty brisket jjamppong broth the clear favorite. With many 4-person tables and a round table you can curtain off, Jangchunhyang works just as well for group dinners and meetings.

Today I'm reviewing Jangchunhyang, a great-value Chinese restaurant near Busan Station!
Where is Jangchunhyang and when is it open?
Jangchunhyang sits right across from Busan Station, so it's super easy to get to! Just 1–2 minutes on foot from Exit 1.
- Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun 10:30–21:00
- Closed: Wednesdays
- Last order: 20:30
- Parking: Not available
There's no break time, so it's a great spot to drop by whenever you're hungry near Busan Station!
Outside Jangchunhyang near Busan Station

It's located in Chinatown, so there's plenty to see nearby too.

Right from the entrance you can see the great-value prices!

Inside Jangchunhyang: does it work for group dinners and meetings?

The inside was really spacious! Lots of 4-top tables, so no need to worry about seating, and it looked great for group dinners too. Maybe because it's so spacious, it felt clean and comfortable haha. The staff were kind too.

In the back there's a round table like this. You can close a curtain around it, so it's really nice being able to eat privately. Seems great for meetings too. The food prices are budget-friendly but the vibe feels upscale.

You can see outside through the full glass wall! I like seeing outside so I sat by the window.
The self-service bar at Jangchunhyang

They give you a basic set of side dishes, but if you need more you can grab extra from the self-bar. There are bowls, cups, and even soju glasses there.

Drinks and Chinese liquor

Since it's a Chinese restaurant, besides Korean liquor they also have Chinese liquor like Yantai gaoliangju, so if you're craving Chinese liquor this is the place haha. Looks like they have quite a variety too.

Jangchunhyang menu and prices: jjajangmyeon at 4,900 won

There are two lunch set options, courses a and b. If you want to enjoy a leisurely meal, the course option is great — most food these days runs about ₩15,000, so a course meal at this price is really cheap.

Jjajangmyeon is listed at ₩7,000 but is currently sold for ₩4,900 as part of a reopening event. Such great value! A bowl of instant ramyeon at a convenience store costs about that much these days ㅠㅠ 🥹
There are both meal dishes and cooked dishes, so if you're making an evening plan here, having a cooked dish with a drink sounds great ☺️
Besides the lunch set, there are lots of other course options! You can pick based on what you want and your budget.
Here's what we ordered!
- Jjajangmyeon ₩4,900
- Cha-dol jjamppong ₩12,000
- Japchae-bap ₩10,000
- Tomsero ₩2,000

How do the brisket jjamppong, japchae-bap and jjajangmyeon taste?

The basic side dishes came out first

This is the cha-dol jjamppong! The jjamppong was genuinely delicious ㅠ I'm usually a jjamppong person, but that day I was craving jjajang instead — the moment I tasted the cha-dol jjamppong broth I regretted not ordering it. It's seriously, seriously good — you have to order it!

Lots of noodles inside and the ingredients are really generous! The spice level seems milder than Shin Ramyeon. But the umami is so good, the beef brisket (cha-dol) aroma really comes through, and the beef inside is tender — I really enjoyed it. Unlike a seafood jjamppong, it has a savory, mellow flavor. Highly recommend.

This is the japchae-bap! Loaded with japchae and generous jjajang sauce, the flavors came together really well. They gave us jjamppong broth on the side too haha. Overall everything was tasty and portions seemed generous.

I heard the head chef came from a hotel background, and it really shows! Next time I definitely want to try the course meal. All three dishes we ordered were hits, so now I'm even more excited for the course.

This is the jjajangmyeon! At ₩4,900 I wasn't expecting much, but the portion was big and it tasted great haha. All the ingredients were mixed in well — an above-average jjajangmyeon!

My favorite dish was the cha-dol jjamppong haha. If you love jjamppong, you have to order it — go go go!!

If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant near Busan Station, great value, spacious, with course meal options, I really recommend Jangchunhyang. I'll definitely be back ❤️
