Busan Station Chinatown restaurant with kkanpung mandu: Jangchunhyang
In short
Jangchunhyang is a budget-friendly Chinese restaurant on the second floor of the Chinatown building in front of Exit 1 of Busan Station. With a train to catch, the writer shared kkanpung mandu (crispy sweet-and-spicy dumplings) with flower bread for 14,000 won, jjajangmyeon for 4,900 won, jjamppong bap for 9,000 won and mini tangsuyuk for 11,000 won — wrapping the dumplings in flower bread was the best combination, and the spicy jjamppong broth settled a stomach after a night of drinking. Jangchunhyang is a solid spot for a filling meal before boarding a train at Busan Station.

Finally made it down to Ulsan where Subin lives, traveled a bit, and then packed our second leg full of Busan fun! We had such a blast that the 2-night-3-day trip flew by... and suddenly it was time to head back up. We got to Busan Station with some time to spare before our train, and since we were hungry, we figured we'd properly finish the trip off with a last meal at the Chinatown near Busan Station!!! This is my honest review of the Busan Station restaurant known as one of the best-value Chinese spots in Busan's Chinatown — with insanely good kkanpung mandu and jjamppong broth that blew me away~~~~~
Where is Jangchunhyang, and how far is it from Busan Station?

Head straight into the Chinatown across from Busan Station and you can't miss the tall roofline of the Chinatown building — Jangchunhyang sits on the 2nd floor, so it's an easy in-and-out even if you're cutting it close on train time!! Perfect location for lunch right before boarding lol

Walk into the Chinatown alley and the red signage with neatly written Chinese characters for Jangchunhyang immediately catches your eye! The place has a real taste of mainland China in its atmosphere, so even before stepping inside you can tell it's the real deal!!
Inside Jangchunhyang: interior and seating
Inside Jangchunhyang, there's everything from regular table seating to room-style separated spaces, and we sat at a round table with a window view. It was lunchtime, so quite a few seats were already filled.

Walking through the door, we got that cozy, nostalgic feel of an old-school Chinese restaurant. True to its reputation as a Busan Station favorite, lots of seats were taken during lunch, and everyone around us seemed to be ordering the signature jjajangmyeon or jjamppong lol

The restaurant had both regular tables and room-style separated seating, and we ended up at a round table with a window view! The basic table setting came with zha cai, pickled radish, and chunjang!
Also — write a Naver receipt review and they'll give you a free cold appetizer or Chunhyang mandu as a service item, so make sure to do that!!
Jangchunhyang's menu and what we ordered

Since Jangchunhyang is known for being a great-value Chinese spot near Busan Station, the prices were friendly enough that we ordered a bunch of dishes to share! They also have a lunch course that looked pretty good.
- Kkanpung mandu + flower bread ₩14,000
- Jjajangmyeon ₩4,900
- Jjamppong bap ₩9,000
- Tangsuyuk ₩11,000

Jjajangmyeon for 4,900 won — is the portion really this big?
1. Jjajangmyeon
The jjajangmyeon was shockingly generous for a ₩4,900 price tag!!!

The rich chunjang flavor really stood out — I ordered it after noticing so many people around us getting it too, and that turned out to be a genius move!!! Busan Station is famous for its jjamppong, but this place is more than worth visiting for the value jjajangmyeon alone!
The noodles were glossy and coated in thick, glistening chunjang sauce, super chewy and bouncy! Loaded generously with onions and meat for a satisfying bite, sweet and savory in just the right balance — a classic delicious jjajangmyeon everyone from kids to grandparents would love! Alternating bites with the jjamppong bap broth made it disappear in no time. (Subin treated me to the jjamppong bap, kekeke)
Is Jangchunhyang's jjamppong bap a good hangover cure?
2. Jjamppong bap
The ₩9,000 jjamppong bap (spicy seafood soup with rice) stood out for its big chunky ingredients and clean, refreshing broth. We'd both had quite a bit to drink the night before, so we ordered it as a hangover cure, and it really delivered lol
You could see exactly why this jjamppong is considered a top pick near Busan Station — spicy but not heavy, going down clean and smooth!
Loaded generously with seafood and vegetables, the first spoonful of broth had me instantly going 'ahh, this fixes everything' — the broth wasn't greasy at all, spicy and clean but deeply savory, an amazing hangover fix and also a solid, filling meal before a train ride;;
Mixing in the glass noodles and rice to soak up all that broth was pure bliss with every bite! Certified great jjamppong near Busan Station!

How crisp is the mini tangsuyuk?
3. Mini tangsuyuk
The mini tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) had such a gorgeous color that you could just tell they manage their frying oil well lol. It came out piping hot, freshly fried, and fried lightly in clean oil for a light, clean flavor that was seriously delicious~

The generous amount of onion paired with the chewy sauce kept drawing my hand back for more. Even Subin, who isn't usually a fan of the sauce, was satisfied! She said the onions in particular were the secret weapon...
Kkanpung mandu with flower bread, the best dish of the day
4. Kkanpung mandu + flower bread
The ₩14,000 kkanpung mandu with flower bread is a specialty dish you'd regret skipping! It was the best thing we ate that day!!!!

You could really tell the dumplings were handmade — the crispy fried wrapper soaked up the kkanpung sauce perfectly, so addictive you just keep reaching for more, kkanpung mandu, oh how you keep me coming back lol
The crispy fried dumplings come fully coated in a spicy-sweet kkanpung sauce, and it's seriously addictive;; The best part is dabbing the punchy kkanpung sauce onto the warm, soft flower bread and eating them together — the spice mellows out and the combination is insane! Definitely try eating them this way!!!
She already knew the perfect way to eat this, so I hereby award Subin the title of top eater of the day lol
Final verdict on Jangchunhyang

Jangchunhyang was our final feast on this Ulsan-Busan trip with Subin — a Chinese restaurant near Busan Station with spicy, deep jjamppong broth, crispy tangsuyuk, and kkanpung mandu that instantly became a new favorite. Strongly recommend if you're looking for good food near Busan Station! 🙏Thanks for the meal today.🙏
