Jokbal restaurant for group dinners near Silla University, Busan
In short
Sasang Paldo Jokbal is a budget-friendly jokbal (boiled pork trotter) restaurant on Baegyang-daero in Sasang, Busan, near Deokpo and Silla University. Two people ordered the half-and-half jokbal in the large size for 35,000 won plus self-serve rice balls for 3,000 won — the small is 30,000 won, so the large was the easy pick, and the same-day boiled domestic jokbal was chewy with no gamey smell. With several four-person and group tables, Sasang Paldo Jokbal suits Silla University group meetups and Deokpo family gatherings.

It's 870m from Deokpo Station Exit 4. This Sasang Deokpo restaurant doesn't have its own parking lot, and there's no street parking nearby either, so I'd recommend using a paid lot close by!
Walking to Sasang Paldo Jokbal from Deokpo Station

Sasang Paldo Jokbal is a clean-looking restaurant near Silla University that's great for group meals, and there are even waiting chairs set up out front.

This Sasang Deokpo jokbal restaurant sells Sasang milmyeon (cold wheat noodles) too, not just jokbal, and I found out you can also eat cheaply with a 9,000 won lunch special — jokbal set or spicy fire jokbal set!
Inside Sasang Paldo Jokbal: group tables for big parties

The inside of this Silla University jokbal spot is clean and pleasant. It's not huge, but there are several 4-person tables and group tables, and since we went at opening it was comfortable to eat without a crowd, haha.

There are also group tables in Sasang, so it's great for Deokpo work dinners, Silla University group meetups, and Deokpo family gatherings.
Sasang Paldo Jokbal menu and prices

The menu at this Sasang jokbal restaurant has jokbal / spicy fire jokbal / half-and-half / cold jokbal with vegetables, side dishes are eomuk-tang (fish cake soup) / buchu-jeon (chive pancake) / makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) / self-serve rice balls, and the lunch special has milmyeon / bibim-milmyeon / mandu (dumplings). It's such a budget-friendly jokbal spot that my friend who lives in Sasang and came along said she'd definitely order delivery from here soon.

Side dishes from the self-serve bar
You can help yourself to basic side dishes at the self-bar, and it was really spotless — you could tell the owner is very tidy.

The chilled cucumber cold soup had a nice savory kick too.
Ordering the half-and-half large (35,000 won) with self-serve rice balls (3,000 won)

- Half-and-half (large) ₩35,000
- Self-serve rice balls ₩3,000
Most places charge around 5,000 won even for self-serve rice balls, but here it was only 3,000 won and they gave a generous portion! The main dish jokbal is cheap too, in the low 20,000s, and the side dishes are affordable as well, so it's perfect for a Silla University group meetup.

At this Sasang restaurant, the half-and-half jokbal small is 30,000 won and the large is 35,000 won, so with barely any price difference, I ordered the large. It was just the right amount for two people!

How does the same-day boiled domestic jokbal taste?
This budget-friendly Sasang jokbal spot uses domestic pork boiled the same day, and it had a chewy texture, a clean flavor, and was shiny and glossy! There wasn't a hint of gamey meat smell and barely any dryness, so I had a really delicious Deokpo dinner, haha.

Spicy fire jokbal with adjustable heat levels
I'm a warm plain jokbal lover, but the Sasang spicy fire jokbal is so good that you should definitely order it half-and-half! It's perfect as a beer snack with Silla University friends...! It has that smoky char flavor and the spicy sauce itself is incredibly tasty! The slightly chewy-firm texture is great too, and since the spice level is adjustable, I'd recommend ordering it extra spicy if you want more heat!
