Is there parking at Extra Mile in Gwangalli?

Extra Mile is a pizza and pasta restaurant tucked among houses in Gwangalli. There's no dedicated parking lot, so driving there is a bit of a hassle. I hadn't been to Gwangalli in a while. It's summer, so getting around without a car is rough haha ㅠㅠ I visited Extra Mile, located in a Gwangalli residential neighborhood, and the pizza was so good I have to recommend it.

But there's no separate parking lot ㅜ There's a yard in front of the shop, but you can't park there (probably because of waiting customers?). The owner told us we could park at a nearby lot or in an open spot in the alley!!

Bright interior, perfect for a Gwangalli date spot

Extra Mile in Gwangalli has a clean, overall bright-toned interior, so it's perfect for a Gwangalli date spot!! It's tucked in an alley, and I'm amazed everyone manages to find it! Word about good restaurants travels fast, huh~~@@

Half-and-half pizza with no extra charge — what we ordered

At Extra Mile you can order half-and-half pizza with no extra charge!! Every table was neatly set up like this!! Other pizza places usually charge extra for half-and-half, so having no surcharge is so nice 💛💛

We ordered a pepperoni and potato half-and-half pizza. For pasta, we ordered the white ragu pasta.

Coloring while we waited

While waiting after ordering, there's a coloring sheet set out in front of you. I colored mine pretty carelessly lol, but I noticed other people coloring theirs with total dedication!?

I ordered a zero-sugar cola and they floated a lemon slice in it — such a nice touch!! The lemon scent somehow makes the cola taste even better haha

Our order arrived and it looked so good!! It really was delicious hahaha. The owner explained that the potato pizza tastes better if you don't cut it with a knife and just bite right into it!! haha

White ragu pasta, noodles like sujebi

Extra Mile's white ragu pasta isn't the creamy, sauce-drenched kind — instead it's topped with a sauce packed with finely minced meat. The noodles were unlike anything I'd seen before, with a chewy texture ♥️ Kind of like sujebi (hand-torn dough soup) noodles. I love sujebi to begin with, so I was completely won over by this pasta's noodles!!

Rather than a typical cream sauce pasta, this was a white ragu pasta with tasty little bits of meat in every bite!! It paired really well with the springy, chewy noodles, making for a unique pasta I'd recommend. The pasta at the next table also looked amazing, so I want to come back to Extra Mile again!! I'd love to work my way through the whole menu haha

Half-and-half pizza, thick rather than thin crust

The pizza's look was amazing too ♥️♥️ Being able to try two flavors with no extra charge is such a plus! Overall the pizza wasn't thin-crust — it had a good thickness. I'm not really a fan of thin, crispy-style pizza, so this thick crust was a pass for me haha

Potato pizza

The potato pizza came out fresh from the oven with the cheese stretching everywhere — the cheese flavor was rich and top-notch. There was ham inside too, and the sauce combination was excellent. Great texture, delicious cheese — I was so happy haha

Thanks to the thin fried potato slices on top, the texture was completely crunchy! That's probably why they told us not to cut it with a knife and just bite in. It's like eating a chip, and with the thick crust the flavor is full and rich, while the potato pieces are cut just right to crunch on — basically pure potato + cheese + flavor!! So good!!

Pepperoni pizza

The pepperoni pizza is slightly spicy, and a much bolder flavor than the potato side!! Since it's much bolder, I'd recommend eating the potato pizza first haha

Extra Mile — overall verdict

Extra Mile is a Gwangalli pizza and pasta place I highly recommend. It's a bit of a shame there's no parking, but at this level of taste and this price, I think it's more than worth it!! Being able to order half-and-half pizza with no extra charge is also a big plus ~ Please don't ever change your mind, owner ㅠㅠ
