Back at Bisyoku Gwangan in Gwangalli after two years

Revisiting Bisyoku after two whole years..! I think I last came around January 2025 — I remember wearing winter clothes. Back then it had only just opened, I think, and I'm so glad it's still just as full of atmosphere . . . yep, it really is.

The first time I went, I had the 70,000-won-per-person set haha! Now it seems to have gone up to 80,000, and the two of us spent 140,000 won this time, hoho . . That first set came with beef tongue and other surprising items too, and they even served us liquor warmed over straw fire..? Such a memory , , I wonder if the same owner is still running the place?!?!

Anyway, Busan people really love snow. It's a city where snow almost never falls, so even sleet gets people rushing outside shouting 'snow!'.... and that person is me. Bisyoku, a Gwangalli favorite, can satisfy that craving for snow!!!! Yes! It's a yakiniku restaurant with snow falling year-round!!! There are a few cafés that do snow in winter, but I don't think anywhere else does it all year like Bisyoku,,,, once it cools down I'll have to post reels again, phew.

How to get to Bisyoku Gwangan, and what the place looks like

There are bus stops nearby for lines 210 and 38, but I walked from Suyeong Station!!haha It takes about 34 minutes on foot. It was a bit cool out and I love walking, so I strolled along. My friend, I believe, said something about parking being a hassle.

When does the indoor snow fall at Bisyoku?

The snow is so pretty!!!! Seems to be a snow spray. On weekdays it falls at 18:30 and 20:30; on weekends at 1pm and every hour on the hour from 6pm to 9pm! Both this time and last time, we aimed for the 18:30 snow and went at 6.

Busan people are lucky.

You can get some great shots too . . ! Since it's a spray, if you don't want it touching your hair, don't walk into it — just watch from your seat or somewhere under a roof!

There are open tables set up in the yard,

and inside there's counter (dachi) seating and 4-person tables. We always go for the counter seats! I love a good counter seat.

If you order the yakiniku set, you can add a nabe half for 15,000 won — and it's genuinely delicious.

They grill it while walking you through how to eat it best.

First, dunk it deep into the sauce with the egg yolk!

Not salty at all and so good. I can't handle salty food usually, but this really wasn't salty in the slightest, so I dipped it in generously!!!!

Second up is

the scallion-and-wasabi combo! This one was also genuinely delicious. If the first bite was a bit salty-savory, this one is clean and refreshing..? hahahaha

I also tried it with just a touch of salt, and it was really good too. Honestly it's good no matter how you eat it.... you don't even need these condiments — just pile on any side dish and it still tastes great!!! Confirmed — a real Gwangalli yakiniku favorite.

After that, you just grill the rest yourself at your own pace!

Bisyoku's nabe half: a broth that calls for rice

We also ordered the Bisyoku nabe. It was a bit chilly that day so a soup dish sounded perfect.

Even the half portion was generous! Just the right amount for two people.

At first we weren't going to order rice since we were already full, but the moment we tasted the broth we went 'ah, this needs rice' hahaha and ordered it...! It pairs so well with rice, and it'd also make a great hangover soup, so if you're drinking, definitely order this one too....

Friendly staff, great meat, and that snowy atmosphere on top — Bisyoku really is a Gwangalli yakiniku favorite!!! Great for a group hangout or a date, so if you're looking for a yakiniku spot, stop by!
