I was looking for a place in Gwangalli where I could have a relaxed brunch first thing in the morning, and I ended up at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch (페이머스 베니 광안리점) in Millak-dong. I really love brunch, so I'm always hunting for nice spots, and this one opens at 8 a.m., which is perfect for breakfast or brunch. It also looked like a great stop after a walk or workout along the Gwangalli running course, so I was extra excited :)
Where is Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, and where do you park?

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is in Millak-dong, close to Gwangalli Beach, in an alley near Tonshow in Gwangalli. It wasn't hard to find, and it's a great location for brunch.

I used the nearest public lot, the Millak Sea Land Market public parking lot. It's a 1-minute walk away, so it was easy to visit by car. Parking costs ₩300 per 10 minutes, and the lot holds only about 8 cars, so it isn't big.
Millak-dong brunch atmosphere: 1st and 2nd floor seating

Right from the entrance, the clean exposed-concrete exterior with a simple logo gives the place a modern feel. It got me even more excited about this Gwangalli brunch spot 🖤

The café was clean and pleasant overall. It has two floors, and while the space isn't huge, I liked how cozy and comfortable it felt.

We ate on the 2nd floor, where families were dining. It's bright with natural light and has a relaxed, casual vibe, so it works for a Millak-dong date, a family meal, or brunch with friends 🥗
The tables are spaced well, so it was comfortable to eat, and there are several single seats, so I think going alone would be no problem either.

The 2nd floor had a water dispenser, cups, bowls and so on all neatly set out. Dogs are allowed indoors too, which is a real plus for pet owners like me 🐶

How were the avocado toast and The Famous Benny?

The avocado toast at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch was better than I expected. It was loaded with creamy avocado and fresh vegetables, and it went really well with the bread 😆 You could taste the fresh ingredients from the first bite, which made it even more satisfying.

The Famous Benny has poached egg and bacon on top of a croissant, so it was soft and easy to eat. It has a different charm from the usual croissant sandwich, so it felt fresh. I also liked that you can choose bacon or smoked salmon as the topping.
Oat milk latte served with a coffee bean info card

I usually drink iced Americanos, but since this is a place for Australian-style brunch, I tried a latte switched to oat milk.

Along with the coffee, Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch gave us a bean info card. Seeing which beans they use and their flavor notes made the coffee more fun to drink ☕🤎 It was rich yet really well balanced, and it went nicely with the brunch dishes, so I was glad I chose a warm latte.
Acai bowl for dessert

The acai bowl (₩9,000) at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, which I ate like a healthy dessert, was a personal favorite. Cold acai purée came with blueberries and bananas in good balance, plus lots of granola and, haha, salted peanut butter on top. That's exactly the acai bowl combo I like. It felt like a healthy treat, so it was a satisfying finish to brunch.
